Dick Turpin colt, well beaten on debut over C&D earlier in the month and will be better suited to further than this. Up against it.

Footstepsinthesand colt, cost €20,000 as a foal and €85,000 as a yearling. Dam a winner at around this trip and related to 5f Group 3 winner Splashing. Proved a shade disappointing on debut over C&D last time out and will need to take a big step forward if he's to figure here.

Poet's Voice gelding, half-brother to four winners including useful middle distance performer Belgrade as well as 7f winners French Blue and Blue Lyric. Probably not a good sign he's already had a gelding operation but yard have been doing well with their juveniles this year and any market support has to be noted.
Invincible Spirit colt, cost 420,000 gns as a yearling. Closely related to smart miler Chartreuse who won a Listed a contest and dam was a Group placed miler and a half-sister to Group 3 winner Johnny Barnes. Yard enjoying an excellent season and juveniles can be ready to go at the first time of asking. Has to be considered.

Big Bad Bob gelding, cost 30,000 gns as a yearling. Dam a sister to a Listed winner who herself was a dam of Grade 1 winner Gabby's Golden Gal. Probably a negative he's already gelded and trainer and jockey running at under 6% when combining so probably best watch this time around.
Frankel colt, half-brother to Feedyah and dam was placed in Listed company. Trainer capable of readying one for a debut and yard have been in good form of late. Looks a suitable test trip wise and gets the services of De Sousa for his debut; big run expected.

Havana Gold colt, cost 33,000 gns as a foal and 40,000 gns as a yearling. Half-brother to five winners including Listed winning miler Singalong. Well beaten on debut but entitled to come on for that and gets the services of the Champion Jockey. Interesting runner.
Maxios colt, cost 20,000 gns as a yearling. Half brother to five winners including useful two-year-old winning sprinter Moon Pearl. Trainer has a strike-rate of 18.6% with his runners here and yard do well with their juveniles so can't be dismissed.

Forecasts

Red Mist (6/4), Bold Reason (3/1), Sam Gold (5/1), Bathsheba Bay (8/1), Sotomayor (10/1), Galactic (10/1), Wax And Wane (12/1), Blue Laureate (25/1), Petra's Pony (50/1), Ahfad (100/1)

Verdict

BOLD REASON could be the one to beat in what looks like a hot maiden and he may be able to start repaying his hefty price tag. Sotomayor should improve for his debut last time out and Wax And Wane looks like an interesting debutante but it's Red Mist who may prove the main danger to the selection with Silvestre De Sousa taking the ride.
  1. Bold Reason
  2. Red Mist
  3. Wax And Wane
