Three of four career turf wins have come at Brighton, not getting any younger but was not beaten far last time out at that favourite venue. Blinkers replaced with a visor now.

Gained narrow handicap win over 7f at Doncaster in April on good to firm ground from a mark of 68. Well held in two subsequent outings at Carlisle and remains 3lb above that previous winning mark.

Best form is on artificial surfaces, well beaten in three recent turf starts, drops back to mile now and gets first-time cheekpieces fitted but others seemingly holding stronger claims.

Won a 7f claimer on good to firm at Redcar last month and duly joined this yard. Took a massive backwards step on stable debut over 7½f at Beverley and very hard to be confident now.

Two wins from six starts on the AW but has flopped in both turf starts. Latest coming 18 days ago at Windsor over 1m when eased home after failing to muster any sort of challenge at the 2f marker. Runs off the same mark now.

Tends to struggle for consistency, winner over 7f at Brighton on April (good to firm) but has mostly toiled in four runs since and seemingly a hard horse to keep on the right of, ensuring a watching brief looks best.

Experienced performer was beaten under 2L over 7f at Yarmouth (good) nine days ago on return from a short break. Has De Sousa taking over now and could run into the place money.

Winner over 6f at Brighton last time out (good to firm), having gone well on a couple of occasions previously. Has plenty pace and can go close again despite 3lb rise, assuming stamina holds for this first attempt at 7f.

Reasonable strike rate of three wins from 14 races, the latest of them over 7f at Kempton on the AW last time. Looked on good terms with herself there and can run off a lower mark on turf, which gives her pretty good claims.

African Blessing (7/2), Robbie Roo Roo (4/1), Good Luck Charm (15/2), Emily Goldfinch (8/1), Commanche (8/1), The Gay Cavalier (8/1), Strictly Carter (8/1), Childesplay (8/1), Tulip Dress (9/1), Aqua Libre (12/1), Whispered Kiss (14/1), Nonno Giulio (28/1)

Verdict

A winner on Kempton's AW track 23 says ago, ROBBIE ROO ROO has the benefit of being able to race from lower mark now back on grass. The filly has been running decent races this term and acts on the likely ground, so she holds excellent claims if displaying the same form here. Strictly Carter also comes into this off a win at Brighton and will have a say if stamina does not become an issue while Good Luck Charm, Commanche and the often frustrating Tulip Dress are others to consider.
