Earned a stiff rise in the weights following the second of her victories this term. Hard to assess the impact as her two races since have been in an amateur race and then on softer ground than ideal. Should give a better account here but potentially vulnerable to a less exposed type. Trainer/jockey combination 7-29 at this course.

450,000 gns purchase who made all to score on her third maiden run as a juvenile over 7f making the most of her experience. The runner-up that day is now rated 87 and the form of her Kempton reappearance has worked out nicely. Found 6f too sharp last time and this stiff 7f looks right for her. Stable are 13-39 with their summer three-year-olds here and jockey is 5-11 when riding them.

Best efforts have come on easier tracks than this. Needs to improve in this grade and stable have recently found winners harder to come by.

Responded well to the application of cheekpieces to open her account in a poor looking maiden here last time. Up in class but appears on the upgrade and yard have had a good month.

Beat a modest bunch at Newbury and the handicapper has realised the poor value gained by that success. Rider is 6-21 for the yard and she merits a little more respect as a result.

Forecasts

Parlance (13/8), Cheerfilly (9/4), Limelite (3/1), Bahamian Bird (10/1), One Big Surprise (14/1), Mississippi Miss (16/1)

Verdict

Cheerfilly was an impressive winner of a maiden here last time but encounters much stronger opposition now. PARLANCE made all to land her maiden but has been ridden with more restraint his term. Her form indicates she may be on a lenient mark and this stiff 7f may be the place to exploit it. Bahamian Bird and Limelite have been in good form this summer and the latter appeals as the one who may be better treated.
