Disappointing since joining this yard and beaten 27L in first time cheekpieces (left off here) at Chester (good-to-soft) over an extended 1m4f last time. Others make more appeal here.

Forecasts

First Voyage (2/1), Sellingallthetime (7/2), Vernatti (9/2), Boycie (7/1), Lexington Law (8/1), Energia Fox (12/1), Toga Tiger (14/1), Parish Boy (20/1), Desert Way (25/1)

Verdict

FIRST VOYAGE was a casualty leaving the stalls when contesting a handicap at Yarmouth last time out but can make amends with victory for trainer Charlie Appleby here. The selection had finished third on his first outing in handicap company and the drop in trip can see him record a second career victory at the chief expense of Vernatti who is chasing a hat-trick following wins at Leicester and Yarmouth. The veteran Toga Tiger, fourth the last twice can claim third today.
