The sole previous winner in the field who has run with credit in Listed company the last twice and now returns to a novice event, but does have a 7lb penalty to contend with, which won't make things fully straightforward. A bold bid should be expected nonetheless.

Equiano filly who cost £7,000 as a 2yo. Dam won over 5f so she shouldn't be short of speed, but doesn't go for a trainer who is exactly prolific for first time out winners.
Dutch Art colt who is a full-sister to Eternally, who won a Listed race at Ascot at the end of last season. Will probably get further in time but has an interesting pedigree and connections for this debut.

Never looked dangerous on debut at Newmarket last month and needs to take a step forward here, though no surprise if this turns out to be an easier assignment.

Hasn't shown too much in two racecourse appearances so far but steps back up in trip now and may be able to improve for a first time tongue strap.

Well-beaten in a maiden and a novice so far having been sent off huge prices on both occasions. Another minor role looks like here, even if it is a slightly weaker contest.
Not disgraced on debut at Windsor earlier in the month when finishing seventh, would need to come on from that in order to figure here but improvement is certainly possible.
Hellvelyn colt who makes his debut having been bred for these sorts of distances, but without looking an obvious first time out winner on paper.
Seemed to understand what was required of her relatively late on debut at Kempton last week when doing her best work late. Can learn from that and should prove competitive here.

Forecasts

Forever In Love (9/4), Travelcard (11/4), Get Even (7/2), Graffitista (11/2), Misty Spirit (8/1), Equilibrium (22/1), Jan's Joy (28/1), Spirit Of Ishy (33/1), Lady Of Authority (100/1)

Verdict

If building on the promise she showed on debut, especially near the end of the race, then this can go to TRAVELCARD. Mark Johnston's filly impressed in the closing stages at Kempton last time and looks the sort to improve from her first run. Having been turned around so quickly there's reason to believe she should be showing her experienced trainer the right signs, and she is taken to get off the mark at the second time of asking. Get Even demands respect as the only previous winner in the field, despite a penalty, while Forever In Love will probably get a bit further in time but is the most interesting of the newcomers nonetheless.
  1. Travelcard
  2. Get Even
  3. Forever In Love
