Massive absence of 801 days to overcome as he makes his debut for new stable. Won over C&D back in 2014, but it would be a mighty feat of training should he come back to win first-time out under top weight after so long on the sidelines
Decent dual purpose performer with impressive winning strike rate at this level. Came home well when runner-up at HQ last month but has been raised 3lb for his troubles. Yard remains in good nick so has to be respected.
Has been transformed into a stayer by current yard and won twice at this track by narrow margins in last two starts. Not easiest of rides but apprentice rider gets on well with her mount and may still have more to offer stepping up again in trip.
Won this race three years ago off identical mark but has looked to need help from handicapper in finding a few too good on recent outings. Not without help but a place may be best he can hope for.
On a hattrick and clearly in fine fettle, but latest 6lb rise may well make life tougher. Normally arrives late on the scene so supporters might need to be patient.
Won minor event at Wolverhampton in May but has generally found life tough on turf since hacking up at Beverley last August by a wide margin. Needs to up his game to return to the winners' enclosure.
Without a win for over two years and his generally done little this term to suggest his winning turn is just around the corner. Hard to get too excited about in this company.
Takes a big steup up in trip after keeping on into eighth in the Cumberland Plate last time out. Not certain to stay and other make rather more appeal.
Scored at Windsor in May over 11.5f then bombed out at Chelmsford when finishing last, again suggesting the A/W is not his bag. Any market interest would be interesting as he attempts to move into the staying division fro the first time.

Byron Flyer (7/4), Theydon Grey (5/2), Great Fighter (4/1), Gabrial's Star (12/1), Gabrial's King (14/1), Codeshare (16/1), Edge Of Sanity (20/1), Purple Rock (20/1), Perfect Summer (20/1), Mawaqeet (33/1)
In a trappy event a chance is taken that BYRON FLYER can maintain his improvement and defy a rise in the weights. Only just denied over two furlongs shorter than this race at HQ last time, he may get the better of his rivals, many of whom are struggling for peak form at the moment. Theydon Grey is an obvious danger if seeing out this new trip and comes from a top yard so has to be very much respected, while previous race winner Gabrial's King may bounce back at a track that suits. Codeshare is another stepping up in trip, but Great Fighter will do well to complete the hattrick in this grade off his new mark.
