Goes well here and has already won twice over C&D this season. 6lb higher than the most recent of those and was beaten from 1lb lower last time, so does have a task on his hands, but can't be ruled out on his return to this venue.

Has put in decent efforts to make the frame at both Carlisle (soft) and Redcar (good) over this trip already this term though perhaps a shade under par at Haydock last week. Perhaps he will be better for a sound, rather than fast surface here and if he returns to the level of his first two runs this year he has decent claims.

Was runner-up here a couple of years ago from 1lb lower and while he has won over this trip three times since, including on both good and fast ground, the handicapper looks to have his measure at the moment.

Three of his eight wins have been here, two of them over C&D on good/good to firm ground. The most recent of those was last August from a 6lb higher mark and he hasn't been showing any recent signs of a revival, but he has the ability and he would be very interesting if supported.

All his best form has been with cut in the ground, which has to be a concern here, though he has a C&D win to his name and is 4lb lower than when he recorded that in May last year. Recent efforts suggests that he is still one to take on in the forecast conditions.

Made the frame in a couple of maidens last season, which didn't help when the handicapper came up with a mark for him. That has proved way beyond him so far in handicaps and he is now dropped to this trip for the first time. Plenty to prove.

Almost two years since he won on turf but 5f/6f on good or soft ground suit him. Certainly on a handy looking mark now and should have each-way claims if he can run to his current ability.

Has both a C&D and a 6f win here to her name and went well back over C&D (soft) last time when beaten less than 2L from a 1lb lower mark. More needed today in a better race but has claims.

Forecasts

Muatadel (11/4), Dutch Dream (9/2), Groundworker (9/2), Bronze Beau (5/1), Salvatore Fury (6/1), Bunce (6/1), Compton River (7/1), Mitchum (20/1), Dawoodi (40/1)

Verdict

Salvatore Fury is lurking on a dangerous mark and support for him would probably be significant, though without that knowledge the suggestion is MUATADEL, who may do better for this slightly slower ground than last week. Bronze Beau is respected now returning to this track, while Dutch Dream and Groundworker are others with claims.
