Has been struggling in better races than this recently and has had his mark come down significantly as a result, but others bring better form to the table and is best watched.
Not beaten far in the Epsom Dash in June and also ran well in the Rockingham at the Curragh last time out (both 5f, good), and is very slightly lower in the handicap now. Looks the type to be a leading contender for a race of this nature, as long as he doesn't come undone due to the draw.
C&D winner off an 8lb lower mark than this last summer, and hasn't been quite in the form to capture a competitive sprint handicap of this nature, despite a fair showing in the Scottish Sprint Cup last time.
Just behind Lucky Beggar at Chester two starts ago and went on to score at Beverley last time out. Carries a 6lb penalty as a result but he is very consistent and still can't be ruled out.
Kept busy so far this year and has mostly been running some very nice races, including when only narrowly beaten at Chester last time out (5f, good to soft). Handicap mark should be fine, and the return to a straight track shouldn't be a problem for him.
Makes his belated season reappearance having won three of his four starts last year. 6lb higher in the weights than when winning at Bath last August but should still be improving, and should go close if overcoming the absence.
Couldn't capitalise on an ease in class last time when beaten 5L by Stanghow, and difficult to see him coming on enough from that to be a threat here.
Can be excused her last wide-margin defeat as she gave the field 10L in a very poor start, but she was progressive prior to that, including a win at Ayr on her penultimate start despite the race not being run to suit. Possibly worth another chance.
Unlucky not to have won so far this year but has gone close on a few occasions. Still 5lb above his most recent winning mark, though, and was 4½L behind Tylery Wonder over C&D last time out.
Easy C&D winner last time out and the 8lb raise he receives for that could have been worse. That was his first win since September 2015 but may have marked a turning point and not impossible he could build on it despite the bigger weight.
Only 2lb above his most recent winning mark (when dead-heating at Ripon last August), but that was a much weaker race than that and he hasn't been in the same form since.
Finished a length behind Stoneyford Lane (who is penalised here) last time at Haydock and has remains on a similar mark to this throughout her recent races despite coming up short in weaker races than this. More needed now, though she did improve as the summer went on last year and could do the same again now.
No win since August 2015, and though she's gone close a few times since, she'll need to come on for her seasonal reappearance (when last at Redcar), in a big way here.
Beat Merry Banter by a length at Haydock last week to record a first win since his debut, but has his work cut out now under a penalty in a more competitive race.

It was disappointing to see COOLFITCH blow the start at Windsor last time having played up beforehand, but she was in great form prior to that and looked progressive, having won well at Ayr towards the end of last month. Her handicap mark here looks workable and given the ground and draw should both suit she's worth another try here. Lapilli showed plenty of ability last year and should go close if overcoming the absence since last August, while Desert Law is another to consider following good showings in the Epsom Dash and the Rockingham Handicap.
