Beaten narrowly by Celebration Day on the AW at Chelmsford in early June (1m2f) but hasn't shown up all that well in two starts since. Up in trip (has raced over hurdles) but doesn't appear all that consistent.
Won back to back contests over 1m4f at Lingfield over the winter, but has been held back on turf from higher marks since. Life probably a shade difficult for now, but has demonstrated his willingness for a battle previously.
Sixteen race maiden who hasn't beaten too many home of late. Should strip fitter for her April comeback at Windsor and falling in the weights but doesn't look the most obvious betting proposition.
A two time winner in France (7f and 1m1f+), but hasn't looked any great shakes for this trainer. His best run came when second to Charismatic Man in a 1m6f handicap at Wolverhampton in March, but he's not exactly flourished since.
Won a juvenile hurdle at Ludlow in October, and improved rapidly for his June Lingfield Flat reappearance when beaten 1¼L in a 1m3f apprentices handicap at this track recently. Up in trip in regular tongue tie, and that apprentice rider keeps the mount.
Not won since April 2016 (over Wolverhampton's extended mile for Ismail Mohammed) and appears to have little going for him on the evidence of his two starts for this yard. Up in trip and very hard to imagine him even making the frame.
Won over C&D this time last year from a 1lb higher mark (beat The Ducking Stool by ½L) but hasn't really found her ideal trip since. She has raced between 1m4f and 2m with regularity, but could well be on the way back to form judged upon her latest Salisbury second (to Cotton Club), and it's reasonable to expect that this race has always been the plan since.
Her best effort on turf was when scoring over 1m4f (good to soft) at Leicester in maiden company in April. Thrown in at Listed level last time (Lingfield Oaks Trial), and she now tries her first handicap. Mark looks just about fair, and should stay this extra yardage.
Beat Willyegolassiego by 2L on firm ground at Bath (1m5f) in late May, but raced too keenly in a muddling small field apprentices affair at Doncaster last month. That run is best ignored, but this winning hurdler is probably a shade vulnerable upped 6lb for his Bath victory nevertheless.
400,000 gns yearling Galileo filly who has truthfully looked no world beater in recent maidens at Chelmsford and Chepstow. She appears to lack much in the way of a change of gear and her opening handicap mark looks plenty high enough.
Not really threatened to break his duck so far and hasn't really improved for a switch to handicaps. Well beaten back in maiden company over 1m4f at Kempton last month (folded tamely), and his questionable stamina looks a major red flag now upped in trip.
Slow learner who shaped with a glimmer of promise when upped to 1m4f at Doncaster in early June, and fulfilled those thoughts 13 days later when a slightly unlucky ¾L runner up to King's Coinage at this track (1m4f good). Raised 2lb since and this longer trip will surely suit. Expected to take all of the beating in an eminently winnable contest.
Won over 1m at Thirsk on his handicap debut as a juvenile (September 2016). Shaped as if he needed the comeback run at York in May when fifth to Alqamar, and unfortunate to clash with Brimham Rocks when upped in trip at Haydock latest. Steps up another 2f tonight in the first time cheek-pieces, but his Malton based handler wouldn't be sending one South unless he thought it held every chance.
Lightly raced handicap debutant (just three starts in maidens) but not shown anywhere near enough to suggest he'll be competitive over this longer trip.

CHOCOLATE BOX looks guaranteed to be suited by the step up in trip following his rather luckless defeat over 1m4f here last month. He has undeniably taken his time to find his feet, but longer distances appear to have been his making, and from a fair mark of 72, he can provide Luca Cumani and Jamie Spencer with a second winner on tonight's card. Viable threats will come from the likes of previous C&D winning mare Onorina, the improving Inn The Bull and the long distance traveller Nordic Combined.
