Appears to have really lost her way of late on turf, and there's little optimism to gather from any of her last three starts. However, her form in maidens suggests she's capable of better and switches back to the AW for the first time since April.
Seemed to benefit from the application of a first time hood when winning over C&D in April, but remains 8llb higher and this race is a grade stronger.
Has either won or been placed in four of his five starts on synthetics, and whilst probably strongest over 7f is versatile and clearly stays this longer trip. Inching up the weights; 4lb higher than when winning at Lingfield in March.
Six race maiden who has tackled a variety of trips on turf since going into handicaps (1m to 1m5f). Back to 1m and returns to the AW from a 6lb higher mark than on turf, but did finish a closing third in a 7f maiden won by Dark Destroyer at this track in February.
Other than a fair Haydock third in October 2016 (stayed on strongly), this lightly raced colt hasn't shown a great deal on the track. Off since his nursery debut in November, he has a few questions to answer at present.
Showed little signs of ability in four starts in maidens (admittedly at big odds), and needs the combination of handicap debut and step up in trip to work the oracle. Possible, but unlikely.
A seven race maiden, but placed on three occasions in six starts on the AW. She appears to be handicapped according to her ability and might find a small race at some point judged upon last month's third to Dusky Maid.
Found 1m4f way beyond her stamina reaches on her seasonal reappearance last month, and is better judged upon her winter AW form at or around this trip. Looks the type to have the ability to be competitive in the future, but perhaps not tonight.
Showed her willingness to battle when landing a moderate 7f Newcastle handicap in March (runner up disappointing since). Not able to build upon that, but only 3lb higher (no higher if factoring in riders claim) and gives the appearance she should stay 1m.
Six race maiden, but doing his best work late when producing a clear career best at Lingfield last month; narrow third of eleven over this trip to Varun's Bride. Chance if able to replicate.
No real potential in any of her four career starts, and folded tamely on her handicap debut here over 7f a fortnight ago.
Forecasts
Casado (4/1), Badenscoth (9/2), Altiko Tommy (5/1), Rock N Roll Global (6/1), Mister Chow (9/1), Do You Know (9/1), Fiendish (12/1), Scala Regia (14/1), Beaconsfield (16/1), Settle Petal (33/1), Shamonix (100/1)
Most of these horses are either inconsistent or yet to fulfil their rather limited potential. Neither of these claims can be levelled at Altiko Tommy who appears guaranteed to run his race from a rising mark. Scala Regia landed a weak Newcastle handicap in March and that's probably as good as she is, but she certainly battles and should stay this longer trip whilst Do You Know might find a small race in time. With no standout performer in the line up a value based option can be taken on ROCK N ROLL GLOBAL. He has a muddling handicapping profile on turf, but his previous placed effort in a 7f maiden at this track in February reads well enough with the runner up Tricorn achieving plenty since.
- Rock N Roll Global
- Scala Regia
- Altiko Tommy
