First two runs for this yard yielded a couple of placings, but he was not so good when out of the frame at Carlisle last time. Remains a maiden after 10 races and can be competitive off this mark without suggesting he is a winner waiting to happen.
Has produced some decent efforts off this handicap mark, including when second of 11 at Carlisle last time. Should give it a go with top jockey on board.
Won a couple of races for David O'Meara earlier in his career, but that's some time ago. Three starts for his current yard have not been without promise, however, and he could be thereabouts off the same mark as when finishing fourth of 10 at Beverley last time.
Best of only five runs came two starts ago when second of 10 on his handicap debut at Carlisle. Stamina may have been an issue when well beaten last time, and the drop back in trip and first-time tongue tie could see him in a much better light.
Won a Musselburgh handicap for David Brown in April, last year, but has beaten only one rival in two starts for his current yard and looks as though he needs some help from the handicapper. Returns from a break and the run may be needed.
Experienced campaigner with six wins from 65 starts. Showed he is no back number when third of 12 at Wolverhampton last time, but probably needs to drop a few pounds in order to get his head back in front.
Both his wins came last season when trained by Mick Channon, but little wrong with three efforts off this mark for current trainer this season. Return to a mile from 10f should suit and he has each-way claims.
Signs of improvement since joining current yard and shed his maiden tag when winning a Carlisle handicap on soft ground two starts ago. Ran his race when second off 5lb higher at Newcastle last time and has to enter calculations off the same mark.
Got off the mark at the 16th time of asking at Ayr at the end of May, but has struggled off higher marks in two subsequent starts. He is now only 2lb higher than when successful and could make his presence felt if the cards drop right.
Has shown improved form in two starts for this yard, winning at Redcar before finishing third at Hamilton off 6lb higher. Runs off the same mark, but has few miles on the clock and could well take another step forward with drop in trip unlikely to be a problem.
Has won only once in 26 attempts and four runs this season have not been encouraging. Handicap mark is 8lb lower than for the start of the campaign so he would have a chance if able to regain his best form with leading jockey on board.
Showed the fire still burns when winning a Newcastle handicap at 33-1 in March and is 2lb lower. Recent displays have been below par, though, and he needs to bounce back.

Most of these have few secrets from the handicapper so it may pay to look for a horse which could still be open to improvement. The obvious one is CLENYMISTRA, who has run only twice for her shrewd trainer and can add to her Redcar success. Beverley Bullet has claims on his Carlisle win, while Midlight is dropping down to a mark off which he can be competitive again and So It's War has the assistance of a leading jockey and is on a feasible weight. Old China and Racemaker also have claims.
