Three-time Group 2 winner whose latest success came at Chantilly. Finished an excellent fourth behind Lady Aurelia in the King's Stand Stakes (Group 1) at Royal Ascot and every chance he will make his presence felt back down in class here, under conditions he's sure to appreciate. Should go close despite the penalty he's forced to carry.
Rattled off a hat-trick last year and has run well on each of his starts this time around. May finish a little closer to Muthmir this time around in receipt of weight from that rival after finish sixth in the King's Stand last time out but not as well drawn and possibly best watched on this occasion.
Winner of the Prix De l'Abbaye back in 2015 but not managed to win since and perhaps not quite as good as he once was. Well suited to faster ground and solid each-way claims once again but trainer's record here is poor (one winner from his last 32 runners).
Won a Listed contest as a juvenile but has found the step up to Group company too much of an ask on previous efforts and this looks like a strong race for this grade. Others make more appeal.
Won a Listed race back in 2015 and smart hold-up performer when everything drops right. He's hit form again on his last couple of efforts but likely to struggle back up in this class of contest.
Bounced back to form with a win at Leicester towards the end of last season and is a two-time Group 2 winner but best efforts have come with cut in the ground and he's a hit and miss character these days. Would need something like a career best to take this contest and that seems unlikely on his 57th run.
Yet to win outside of handicap company and looks up against it once again here. Better suited to softer conditions than this and others preferred.
Won a weak looking Listed contest at Ayr last time but currently in foal to Oasis Dream and could find some improvement for that. Likely to be her final run but a place probably the best she can hope for; particularly from a poor draw.
Listed winner over C&D last time out, finishing well from the back of the pack and runner-up from that contest has come out and won a Group 3 at Newcastle since. This no doubt tougher and he will need to settle better if he's to succeed here but he is still entirely unexposed and will appreciate the weight allowance he receives from many of his older rivals. Crowley prefers Muthmir.
Won a Group 2 as a juvenile but hasn't managed to place in four subsequent Group outings. Not disgraced at Royal Ascot but no doubt he needs to take another step forward to figure in this contest.

Battaash (5/2), Muthmir (9/2), Tis Marvellous (11/2), Goldream (6/1), Alpha Delphini (7/1), Line Of Reason (12/1), Kyllang Rock (12/1), Spring Fling (14/1), Willytheconqueror (20/1), Mirza (25/1), Gracious John (40/1)
MUTHMIR has to carry a penalty here but there's every chance he could prevail down in class after a fine performance in the King's Stand at Royal Ascot. Alpha Delphini is another who has come out of that race with plenty of credit while Battaash is the most interesting of the three-year-olds in the line up.
- Muthmir
- Alpha Delphini
- Battaash
