Without a win since 2015 and at her best on softer ground than this. Mark now beginning to tumble and this is weaker than she has been contesting, but it still takes a leap of faith to see a sudden return to form this time.
Has not managed to add to a debut win over this trip at Chelmsford last year, though has proved to be very competitive from this mark in two starts in handicaps. Now reason why she can't be that again and she goes well on fast ground. Claims.
Won at Epsom (1m2f, good) when stepped up to this trip on her second start. An was just held by 1L at Chepstow in handicap company last time. Raised 2lb for that, but still unexposed and has to enter calculations.
Made a successful step up to this trip at Windsor (good to firm) last time, scoring with perhaps a little more in hand than the margin suggested. 4lb rise looks fair and she should again be on the premises.
Won an auction maiden over this trip at Brighton last season. Handicapper has had her measure in recent outings but a 2lb drop here will help, as could the first-time tongue strap. Should take a closer hand.
All three of her wins have been over 1m, but she has been competitive over today's distance in two of her last three starts. Back up 1lb for the latest of those and needs some improvement to win this.
Remains a maiden after 17 starts and has not seen turf since September, when well beaten over 1m here from 3lb higher. Her subsequent All Weather form should entitle her to be competitive here if she can replicate it on grass, but she does keep finding one too good and that is a concern.
Her best effort so far was on debut at Haydock in September (1m, good). Stepped up to this trip for both starts this season, she has not reproduced that, but she now tries handicapping from a fair enough mark. Market check advised.
Didn't race at two and this is now her fourth run in fairly quick time, having made her debut in May. Scored last time (1m2f, firm) at Bath in maiden company, though mark is no gimme looking at that form, now that she goes handicapping. Market check advised, though she looks in need of improvement.
Yet to add to her debut win at Wetherby from 2015 and the handicapper seems reluctant to drop her, despite a runs of nine defeats. Looks up against it judged on recent evidence.
Won a Chelmsford maiden on her second start, back in November, but the handicapper has been asking too much of her in a couple of handicaps so far. Looks in need of further assistance to get competitive.
Scored at Newcastle (1m2f, AW) last time to break her maiden at the third attempt. That was not a strong contest and she will need a fair amount of improvement to figure here on her handicap debut from this mark.
Forecasts
Lady Bergamot (3/1), Ghinia (11/2), Light Of Joy (6/1), Flying North (6/1), Blind Faith (7/1), Squiggley (8/1), Annie Fior (9/1), Auntie Barber (10/1), The Jean Genie (16/1), Rayaa (25/1), Heartstone (33/1), Lahayeb (50/1)
The Jean Genie would be interesting if supported for this, but BLIND FAITH has already shown that she can compete from this mark and looks a very solid option here. The unexposed Squiggley is a potential danger, while Heartstone should also go well.
- Blind Faith
- Squiggley
- Heartstone
