In good form towards the end of last season and recent efforts suggest that he is on his way back this time too. Now 2lb below his last winning mark and handles cut well, so should have every chance.
Now back on the same mark as his last win, which came at Yarmouth (6f, soft) in October. Out of sorts last time, but has previously been threatening a return to form and he is capable of being very competitive here.
A drop in the weights prompted a return to form for his first British win last time out at Nottingham (6f. soft). Carries a penalty for that success today and his previous efforts from this sort of mark suggest that he will again be up against it.
In search of his first win since 2015 and now 13lb lower than when he achieved that at Ripon. Goes on any ground and shaped as if on his way back last time, so with a further 2lb drop to help, he can't be ruled out.
Won a firm ground 7f Salisbury maiden in April and has put in two decent efforts since going handicapping, at Chester (7½f, good) and here over C&D last time, when beaten just over 1L. Back up 4lb for that latest run, but if handling these conditions he should be competitive.
6lb better off for a head with Zapper Cass, who he finished behind at Nottingham (6f, soft) last time. Will want a strong pace to be seen to best effect and if he gets that then he will not be far away from the same mark.
Has won on good to soft, though both his successes were over the minimum trip. 1lb lower than when making the frame over this trip at Haydock in September and has a squeak at the weights.
Has a 1m½f course win to his name, though has also won over today's trip at Redcar since then. Acts with cut, although has never won on softer than good. Went well from today's mark when last seen on turf at Ascot in September and was readied to win when fresh from a 3lb higher mark last year, so market confidence would probably be significant.
Put up a decent effort when a 4L fourth over C&D last time out from today's mark. This is a tougher contest, however, and he will need to improve to take a similar hand.

Sharp Defence (7/2), Lexington Times (7/2), Munfallet (7/2), Zapper Cass (6/1), Another Wise Kid (7/1), Highly Sprung (8/1), Manatee Bay (10/1), Harwoods Volante (14/1), Bapak Asmara (25/1), Funding Deficit (40/1)
Munfallet looks booked for a good run here and is feared, but the suggestion is to side with ANOTHER WISE KID. Paul Midgley does very well with his experienced sprinters and although this nine-year-old has not won for some time, he has dropped to an attractive mark and goes on any ground. Harwoods Volante and Sharp Defence should both make their presence felt, while Funding Deficit would be very interesting if supported.
