Still looking to add to his only win in December, 2015, but showed he likes this track when beaten a neck over 5½f two starts ago, Ran off the same mark when fourth at Beverley last time and is unchanged here so he should be in the shake-up.
Seemed to dislike soft ground when down the field at Bath last time, but had previously made an encouraging debut for this stable when fourth at the same course. Runs off 1lb lower and can go well on what is expected to be a more suitable surface.
Has run only three times, each in maiden company. Ran his best race so far when third of seven, albeit beaten a fair way, at Windsor last time. Interesting in his first handicap, but does not appear to have got in lightly.
Still looking for his first win after 12 starts, the last three of which have been at this track. Takes a keen hold and this significant drop in trip might just be the making of him, with an interesting jockey booking providing further encouragement.
Finally got off the mark at the 15th attempt at Chelmsford (7f) two starts ago, but not so good at Wolverhampton last time. She tries the shortest trip she has ever encountered, but can race prominently and might be suited by the sharper test.
Has run at this track in two of his four starts, but has shown only limited signs of promise. Runs in his first handicap and does not look especially well treated.
Has yet to be placed after seven starts over a variety of trips. Ran over 7f last time and reverts to sprinting, but does not look blessed with blistering pace and has plenty to prove.
Has performed well since joining this yard, including when getting off the mark at Yarmouth two starts ago. Soft ground may well have been to blame for her defeat at Doncaster last time and a sounder surface may well see her in a more positive light. Chance off a fair mark.
Won a nursery at this track for Mick Channon last year and has had a couple of runs for his current yard. Shaped well on the second of them at Bath last time, but has gone up 3lb for finishing second, which seems a little harsh.
Much-travelled performer who has won only one of his 40 races. Has been well held in a couple of Lingfield sellers for his current stable, so it is not hard to look elsewhere for a potential winner.
Experienced campaigner with 56 starts to his name, but all his four wins have come on the AW. Has been placed in a couple of races in Jersey recently, but that was low-grade fare and he will need to find more.
On a long, losing streak but shaped much better on his last start when third of six at this track. The handicapper has dropped him 4lb and that makes him a viable proposition in an ordinary contest.
Won a Chelmsford handicap (7f) for Mike Murphy in March, 2016, but has shown little in five starts for his current stable. Races off a career-low mark and tries his hand at sprinting, but will need to be sharpened up by a first-time visor.
Has yet to hit the frame in six outings, but ran respectably at Ripon a couple of starts ago and is 2lb lower. Interesting for respected trainer/jockey combination and worth a check in the betting market.
Unplaced in 10 races, including six on turf. Has not been disgraced on his last two outings at this track and runs off a career-low handicap mark. Not without hope.

Provoking (4/1), Harlequin Rose (5/1), Sadieroseclifford (7/1), Spare Parts (8/1), Cee Jay (17/2), Archie Stevens (9/1), Ginger Truffle (11/1), Gaia Princess (12/1), Suzi Icon (12/1), Sixties Habana (12/1), Rat Catcher (16/1), National Service (16/1), Fivos (16/1), General Gerrard (20/1), Little Cupcake (25/1), Ashford Island (50/1)
A wide-open start to proceedings with one or two lightly-raced perfomers taking on more experienced sprinters and others trying the trip for the first time. Spare Parts catches the eye near the foot of the handicap, while Provoking and Suzi Icon may be suited by this sharper test and are worth a second glance. However, there should be plenty of each-way value in this race and one who looks ready to make an impact is RAT CATCHER, who ran well at this track last time, races off a 4lb lower mark and is nicely drawn. Sadieroseclifford will appreciate better ground and can put last time's disappointing effort behind her.
- Rat Catcher
- Spare Parts
