Unable to build on a very promising debut in two runs in handicap company so far but is dropped 3lb by the assessor now and should enjoy the return to a synthetic surface, with those below-par efforts coming on turf.
Put in a much improved performance to finish second in a maiden on his third attempt last time at Beverley on his seasonal reappearance (1m2f, good to firm). Step up in trip could see him operate even more effectively for some top connections.
Won on debut at Yarmouth before failing to build on that in his subsequent starts. Has his sights lowered to a more suitable level now and should be able to get involved provided he can prove he stays the trip.
Sole victory came at this course over shorter but has finished last of all in a handicap here since and is unraced at distances above a mile up until now. Blinkers added.
Course scorer last November who has been relatively unlucky since switched to handicap company, beaten by less than 2L in all of his last three starts. On the same mark as when second at Lingfield last time and should go close again as long as he can stay the further two furlongs.
Ran a fair race on handicap debut at Newmarket last time out (1m4f, good) but remains on the same mark now and looks to have something to find in relation to some of her rivals who have been going closer recently.

This can go to SABLE ISLAND, who showed plenty of progression from his first to second starts to finish runner-up at Beverley last time out and should have plenty more to offer given his connections, with the Tapeta he races on for the first time unlikely to pose much of an issue. If realising his potential, he could simply prove to be a cut above the rest of these, including Winston C, who has disappointed since scoring on debut but is capable of better, and Voski, who can fulfill some of the promise he showed on debut having also been disappointing since.
