Horse A-Z
Unraced Camelot filly who cost 52,000 gns as a yearling. Eighth foal, and a half-sister to five winners including Bunker and Imtiyaaz. Hails from a good yard, and every chance of being competitive on debut.

Unraced Lawman filly out of Macleya. Sixth foal and a half-sister to a couple of winners (7F to 1m2f). Her dam had plenty of stamina, so just possible she'll find this trip on the sharp side.

4/5
Street Cry filly out of Dawn Glory who posted a solid debut when beaten a neck by Hermosita at Yarmouth (6F good to firm) just a fortnight ago. Upped in trip and switched to synthetics, but a major player on that showing.

9/2
Zoffany filly who cost €70,000 as a yearling, and has finished third on both appearances to date. Those 5F races came just eight days apart earlier this month, so she's clearly a hardy enough filly, with this step up in trip expected to suit.

Probably improved slightly from first start to second, and shaped at Lingfield as if a step up in trip to 7F would suit. However, others would appear to hold stronger claims and looks the type to do better in handicaps.

7/1
Daughter of Kodiac who fetched £60,000 as a yearling and shaped with promise here over 6F on debut in May when fourth to Di Fede (third placed Klosters won since). Not quite so good at Chepstow next time (although far from disgraced), and the switch back to this track and the step up in trip are positives.

16/1
Finished in rear on debut at Newmarket (6F good) earlier in the month. However, a sister to Odin and Norse Light, that was probably no surprise as she's likely to need further. Will probably find 7F at this track sharp enough.

Horse silk
50/1
Zoffany filly who finished seventh of nine to Dotted Swiss at Lingfield (6F) on debut in late May. Upped in trip, but needs to show more to trouble the likely market leaders.

Forecasts

First Drive (4/5), Glaceon (9/2), Camomile Lawn (7/1), Miss Mo Brown Bear (7/1), Codicil (10/1), Polar Light (16/1), Laura Knight (20/1), Zoraya (50/1)

Verdict

Glaceon has strongly indicated that she needs further than 5F, so this notable step up in trip should coax further improvement from the Richard Hannon trained filly. However, it is impossible to ignore the more compelling claims of FIRST DRIVE. She shaped very well on her turf debut at Yarmouth a couple of weeks ago, and there is no reason to suggest she'll be unable to back that up now switched to synthetics. An extra furlong is likely to suit, and she has Ryan Moore booked to do the steering.
  1. First Drive
  2. Glaceon
  3. Camomile Lawn
