Showed some fair form as a two-year-old (steady not spectacular progression) and looked as though he needed the race on his return and handicap debut at Ripon in May. Should be capable of building on that run now although has to cope with coming back in trip here.
Made favourite for his debut last year and only beat one home before finishing last on his next start. Changed yards and not at all knocked around when showing some ability at Thirsk over a mile and looks to have some potential making his handicap debut here.
From a yard that is in good form but this one needs to turn things around having run poorly on his last three starts often running freely and he needs to settle much better to show a return to form.
Maiden winner at Lingfield last year his form following that win hasn't really showed any progress and he ran as if amiss last time out when well beaten and finishing last. Cheekpieces go on for the first time in a bid to see him regain some zip.
Returned to maiden company on the AW at Lingfield after a break he showed improved form to justify some strong support. Form in two handicaps since has been rather up-and-down and this mark of 66 basically sums him up.
Maiden form can only be described as fair and has hardly stepped forward on that in handicaps with her effort last time being very average and others are stronger.
Form in three maidens as a juvenile was modest and he started at 16/1 plus on each occasion. Now goes handicapping off a modest mark and could do better although not the most obvious candidate.

Forecasts
Alshibaa (13/8), Valley of Rocks (4/1), Daring Guest (5/1), Pioneering (7/1), Dreamofdiscovery (8/1), Duchess Of Fife (9/1), Northdown (11/1), Channel Packet (12/1), Prince Of Clappers (20/1)
Hardly the most inspiring of contests with no real obvious overly progressive types and it may well prove to be the sort of race where it is worth taking a chance on one of the handicap debutantes in PIONEERING who showed promise last time out. Alshibaa looks capable of making some progress if the move back to a mile suits while Valley Of Rocks is surely capable of better if learning to settle. Channel Packet is worth keeping an eye on in the market with Prince Of Clappers another who enters the equation in an open contest.
