Three previous attempts in handicaps all on the AW but his development looks to have become rather muted and he's been a beaten joint-favourite on both of his last two starts. Cheekpieces go on for the first time in an attempt to eke out some improvement.
Shaped relatively well in his three maidens the best effort coming over 1m2f at Kempton Park and he may well have needed his first run of the year (handicap debut). Ran a little better last time but still struggling to match his maiden efforts in handicaps and drops in trip to a mile now.
Had three quick runs in maidens in a bid to gain a mark ad was then handed a pretty stiff one for his debut (66). Dropped 4lb for that effort but fared little better and now down a further 4lb. Mark looks more realistic now but still needs to show more.
Looks to be the stronger of two representatives from this yard although she's yet to score but looked to appreciate the step back to a mile last time. Up 5lb for that run she should still be competitive here based on her second last time out.
Looked rather rusty on his first start for this yard (formerly trained in Ireland) and now gelded he didn't look to build on that run last time and looks regressive rather than progressive.
Makes her seasonal/AW debut having been dropped 6lb from her initial handicap effort and the end of last season when a juvenile. Bred to be useful and this mile should suit from a yard in good form and may well be able to show a little more with a winter under her belt.
Glimpses of ability in her maiden runs that weren't followed up on her handicap debut over 1m1f here on turf. Best run so far has come over C&D (questionable form) but not one to totally write off trying a handicap for the second time dropped to a mark of 55.
Still a maiden but has been consistent in handicaps this year (placed on last five starts) although this mile does looks to stretch ger suspect stamina. Travels well for one in this grade but may just struggle to get home (has traded at odds-on in-running in five of last six starts). Visor goes on for the first time.
Didn't show much in maidens but the switch to handicaps has seen her perform a little better and off marks in the low 50's she looks to have the ability to win something of this ilk. Back against her own age group here after taking on older horses last time and certainly of interest here.
On some form she looks limited although her penultimate start showed her in a good and bad light. The good being that she showed some progress on her previous runs the bad being that she looked a hard ride (without usual hood). Failed to follow that up last time out here on turf and may be better back on the AW but not one for maximum faith.
Promise shown on his handicap debut after a break and being gelded but was well held last time on softer ground and over a longer trip. Dropped 3lb for that run and operating off a basement mark but too early to write off back on an AW surface that he's run well on before.

Topmeup (7/2), Nicky Baby (9/2), How's Lucy (11/2), Varun's Bride (8/1), Epsom Secret (8/1), Casado (8/1), Joshlee (8/1), Quick Thought (8/1), Banta Bay (10/1), Hippocampus (12/1), Ronni Layne (33/1), Beast (50/1)
Low-grade three-year-old handicaps are never the easiest to work out but a few of these probably have a little bit of improvement even if it is minimal. Topmeup has proved to be very consistent but the trip may well be a problem and others could be better placed to take advantage here. Joshlee would be one who fits into that category along with How’s Lucy who ran well against her elders last time out. Richard Hannon runs two here and it could well be that his VARUN’S BRIDE can back up her run last time out at Wolverhampton and get off the mark. Epsom Secret looks a quirky sort but may also play a part along with Ronni Layne who is not totally written off dropping down the handicap.
