Winner over 6f at Pontefract this season, ran credibly over minimum trip at Beverley 12 days ago, leading UK trainer sends him here (only runner on the card) and jockey booking gives him an excellent chance.
Very underwhelming efforts in two maidens already this month, has plenty to work on in order to even get competitive now.
Casamento colt changed hands for €30,000 as a yearling, comes to the track for the first time here and probably best watched unless there are moves to the contrary. Trainer/jockey team took this last year.
Another Casamento colt, he's got winner in his pedigree and comes from a yard going well at the moment. No surprise if there is come confidence first time out.
Haatef gelding has been second in both starts to date both over 6f in maidens at the Curragh and Fairyhouse. No surprise to see him in the mix once more with Manning taking over on top.
Mastercraftsman filly cost €35,000 as a yearling and made a pleasing start when 5L third of 13 at Fairyhouse over 6f (good) this month. Can come forward for the run.
Tagula filly is a sister to 2yo 7f winner Cascading Stars, makes debut in this and can go well but others set a decent standard to aim at.
Well beaten in two starts to date, latest over 7f (soft) at Roscommon this month when beaten close to 20L having gone off 50/1. May be best seen over further in time.
Forecasts
Rufus King (5/4), Red Persian (5/2), Bella Figura (9/2), Adnap (9/1), Hyperlapse (10/1), Only William (33/1), Island Affair (50/1), Stormy Tale (66/1)
Red Persian has gone well in both starts to date, twice finishing second, and should be off the mark soon. He should go well again here but may run into one in the form of RUFUS KING. It is to be noted that his leading British trainer sends him here, his sole runner on the card, and the booking of a jockey riding with supreme confidence right now adds to the allure. He has already won in fine style over 6f at Pontefract and looks a strong contender in this now upped in trip having run well enough over 5f last time out. Bella Figura is also entitled to go well while money for newcomers Hyperlapse or Island Affair would be notable.
