Disappointed on his handicap debut at Epsom last time out having previously shown promise in maidens over similar trips. A repeat of his Chester second would see him go close here with a good draw that should suit his prominent running style.
Two runs in maidens so far with the best effort coming on his debut but even that was a modest effort and he would have to make a big improvement to take a hand here.
Down the field in two maidens over 1m2f so far starting at 33/1 on both occasions and looks one for handicaps further down the line albeit modest ones.
Looks as though he might be able to improve from his initial effort where he badly needed the experience (slow away, ran green). Should know more this time and may well be worth watching in the market.
Form so far has only been fair with two runs under his belt the best of which came on debut at Windsor over 1m2f. Well below that form last time out and given the riding engagement it looks as though this could be a run for a mark.
Described as a scopey sort by his trainer who is ready to go this first foal is out of a maiden who stayed 1m4f. Could well be of interest if there are any flaws in the market leader.
In the same ownership as Munthany his dam was a US Grade 1 1m1f winner he's already been gelded and the riding engagements would suggest that Munthany is preferred.
Yard not exactly known for winners of this type and he only cost £2,500 as a foal. The dam was a juvenile 5f winner but not much is expected here.
Cost €45,000 as a yearling with the dam being a lightly-raced half-sister to US Grade 1 1m/1m1f winner Jeranimo. Tongue-tie goes on for his debut.
Both runs in maiden company have the same feel about them and looks to be one of the lesser lights from this powerful stable. May well be able to show more when gaining a handicap mark and a place could be the best he can hope for here.
Forecasts
Bristol Missile (1/1), Munthany (9/2), Touwari (11/2), Musaahim (8/1), Ididitforyoooo (12/1), Kings City (20/1), Corredordel Viento (25/1), The Iron Factor (25/1), My Name Is Jeff (40/1), High Wells (50/1)
Not a huge amount of strength in depth here with Bristol Missile being the stand out of those with form but he’s unbeatable by any means and it may be worth looking at some of the others in the race. Munthany is an interesting newcomer along with Musaahim in the same colours and with both coming from powerful yards they must be respected. Touwari may be capable of a little better and be able to put his experience to good use but a chance is taken with the once-raced IDIDITFORYOOOO. He should have learnt a lot from his debut and runners from the Meehan yard often come on for their first run and he’s given a chance of upsetting the likely favourite Bristol Missile here.
- Ididitforyoooo
- Bristol Missile
- Munthany
