Wears cheekpieces for the first time in a bid to get back on track after losing his way last season. Handicapper has him in his sights though and this no easy task under the burden of topweight.
Consistent type that has won on both turf and the AW, steadily crept up the weights as a result and now looks weighted to the hilt. The application of a hood may help but he is another needs to be at his very best on these terms.
Rated 105 at his best on the AW, so still well weighted despite going up 4lb for winning at Yarmouth last month. His record over 1m needs to be improved upon but he seems revitalised and may be worth keeping faith in what will be just his second start for the David Simcock yard.
Went up 5lb after winning on seasonal return at Nottingham but found the revised marks insurmountable a couple of time since. Holds Palawan from his latest start on the AW at Kempton, so still holds feasible place claims but may be a tad risky for win only purposes.
Best form over 7f and recent evidence suggest he'll find a few too good over this trip. Two starts for his current yard have also been lacklustre. Others appear to hold stronger claims.
Never won from 24 previous attempts on turf and 1m stretches him to the limit. Stiff task after failing to land a blow back on turf on the same mark last time at Goodwood.
Needed every yard to get up and win on the AW at Wolverhampton just over a week ago. This much easier than his engagement at York on Friday but he's had a busy last month and the suspicion that he may be at the ceiling of his ability is a strong-pulling factor.
Chasing C&D win number three from as many outings, but is now 9lb higher in the weights and edging back into levels that require the peak of his powers. Trainer does well with this type but has never won in this class and needs everything to unfold to suit on these terms.

Forecasts
Realize (11/4), Midhmaar (3/1), Reaver (4/1), Calvados Spirit (6/1), Mister Musicmaster (7/1), Wink Oliver (12/1), Athassel (14/1), Beach Bar (14/1), Palawan (16/1)
A few of these have the ability locked away to at least go close if it could be guaranteed they would run up to their best. The hat-tick chasing Mister Musicmaster certainly fits the right profile and merits plenty of respect as a horse that has proved he handles the course and won't mind the ground conditions. Whereas Wink Oliver is being kept busy and he too is capable of posing a few problems if he turns out quickly. Reaver merits a check in the betting, but overall, a tentative nomination for win only goes the way of REALIZE, who has been freshened up by his recent switch in yards and is worth another crack over a mile whilst he is still on a high from winning at Yarmouth last time out.

- Mister Musicmaster
