Inconsistent low-grade handicapper but been in good form since reverting to the Flat. Likes his racing at Bath, stayed on strongly to win over C&D on his penultimate start but now has a bit to prove after he was well below that level when upped in trip three weeks ago. Needs a personal best but stepping back a couple of furlongs aids his cause.
Motored home under Timmy Murphy to win at Chepstow on Saturday night; relished the drop in trip and has to be of interest under just a 5lb higher mark. Versatile regarding the ground and well worth considering in a weak event such as this.
Frustrating character but has the ability to win one of these races somewhere along the line. Positive that he has gone well for today's rider in the past but still needs to prove he has the determination to go through with his effort. A record of 0-26 so far suggests he isn't one to trust implicitly for win only purposes.
Closely matched with Powered on recent form; the betting may be a handy guide in that personal grudge match. But like his old rival, he isn't one for maximum faith and, despite being just 1lb higher than for his win on the AW last time out, he is not certain to be in the same frame of mind and there are risks attached in backing him to register back-to-back wins for the first time ever.
Good effort to reverse recent form with Petrify; return to this C&D not a problem and appeals as one to bear in mind now that she has proved her stamina.
Last won on turf on the Flat in July 2012, so wouldn't be one to note for a prolific strike-rate. But on a handy mark and capable of holding his own at this level. Versatile regarding the ground and no issues with the trip, so holds sound claims if on song and dangerous to underestimate.
Still a maiden after 17 previous starts and best form has been posted on the AW tracks. Comes a long way for this but still makes limited appeal, first-time hood needs to initiate a lot of improvement.
May have been in need of the run when well beaten over 1m5f on return form a long absence last time out but still has a lot to prove. Likely to also need more cut in the ground to be seen at his best.

Forecasts
Powered (11/4), Grams And Ounces (3/1), Golden Muscade (10/3), Filament Of Gold (6/1), Lady Lunchalot (6/1), Taroum (10/1), Petrify (11/1), Just Fred (20/1), Castanea (20/1), Vexillum (22/1)
Most of these have been expensive to follow and while the likes of: Filament Of Gold, Powered and Grams And Ounces all merit respect on recent efforts, there may be some value in giving TAROUM another throw of the dice. He is on a handy mark and has dropped a couple of hints that his turn may have finally come around again. The selection does need to bring a long losing run to an end and his limitations are abundantly clear, so a small saver on Golden Muscade at least making the frame is also recommended.
