Improved for her Newbury debut sufficiently to land a 1m Windsor maiden (good) last time out, doing so by a comfortable margin of 3¾L. Goes handicapping against her own sex now from a mark of 89, but a glance at her pedigree suggests that it is within range and she should go very well.
6f Windsor maiden winner on fast ground last year and put in a good performance over 7f later in the season. Headgear tried last time is left off for this reappearance and she may be one to watch this time.
Scored over 1m2f in a Lingfield maiden in December. Has been competitive in defeat from marks of 75 and 77 in handicaps since then, but needs to improve on last time (blinkers retained) to figure.
Did not race at two and made a winning debut at Kempton (1m, AW) in April when sent off as favourite. Second and third that day have been placed again since, giving the form a solid, if not spectacular, look. Remains of interest on her handicap debut.
Came good at the fifth attempt in maiden company at Chester last time (7½f, good). Handicapper has kept her on the same mark for this and she may be able to find a bit more improvement for the extra ½f here. Not ruled out for this handicap debut.
Went close first time and bettered that with a win on her second start in a Kempton maiden (1m, AW) in November. Maintained consistency on her handicap debut when just over 1L back in third at Lingfield (1m, AW). Same mark for this reappearance after a break/first turf run but no reason why she can't compete again.
Has made significant progress on each of her visits to the racecourse and came good at Newmarket (7f, good to soft) when last seen in October. Stepped up in trip for this reappearance, she is in good hands to maintain that upward curve and if market vibes are good she may take another step forward after a break.
Scored on debut at Chepstow in August (1m, good to soft) and was beginning to get to grips with handicapping before the season was out. Resumes on the same mark of 76 here and a market check is advised.
Made steps forward in all three of her maidens, so her handicap debut was disappointing when last of 10 and beaten 11L at Nottingham last month (1m2f, good to firm). Drops back in trip now and 2lb in the weights. May be able to resume progress, but has a bit to prove.
Forecasts
Time Chaser (6/4), Tirania (6/4), Highland Pass (5/1), Plead (12/1), Stellar Surprise (16/1), Medicean Ballet (20/1), Midnight Vixen (20/1), High On Love (33/1), Golden Nectar (50/1)
TIRANIA is the suggestion on her handicap debut, given the manner in which she won her maiden. However, Time Chaser looks likely to be a danger, while Highland Pass, Golden Nectar, Midnight Vixen and Medicean Ballet are all of interest.
- Tirania
- Time Chaser
- Highland Pass
