Stable's juveniles have enjoyed a very good start to 2017, with 7-23 so far for a 30% strike rate. This one cost 38,000 gns as a foal, rising to €67,000 as a yearling. Full-brother to 1m 2yo/1m½f AW winner Atlantic Sun and half-brother to a 6f 2yo winner. Dam won over 7½f-1m. Looks set to make a decent debut.
€105,000 yearling. Half-sister to French 1m winner Promettre out of a French 1m4f winning half-sister to 1m4f Group Three winner/Irish Oaks runner-up Ice Queen, out of a full-sister to 1m4f Group Three winner Rabah. Represents top yard that has already had 12 juvenile winners on turf this season. Should go well.
€52,000 yearling. First foal of a Listed-placed 7f winner who is a half-sister to 6f/1m winner Courances (dam of 1m1½f Listed winner Chiverny and Polish Derby winner Caccini), out of a 7f winner. Nice enough pedigree and stable 2-11 plus two placed from its turf juveniles so far this campaign. Market check advised.
750,000 gns Book One yearling. Eleventh foal and a full-brother to a 1m½f 2yo winner and half-brother to six winners including 1m 2yo Listed and all at trips from 1m-1m4f. This looks a good starting point for this expensive purchase. Top yard is just 1-9 so far with its juveniles, but that should not be long in increasing.
22,000 gns yearling. First foal of an unplaced 7f/1m 2yo maiden half-sister to 7f 2yo Group Two winner Good Boy Lukey and Listed-placed 1m½f-1m2f winner Oakley Girl. This trip is a good starting point then for the stable's first juvenile runner of the turf season (2-25 in the past five seasons).
55,000 gns foal, and 60,000 gns yearling. First foal of a German-placed mare who is a half-sister to the Listed-placed 1m-1m2f winner Moi Lolita out of a 1m-winning full-sister to Irish 2,000 Guineas winner Saffron Walden and Canadian 1m2f Group One winner Insight. Pedigree suggests this is a good trip to start at. Stable 0-8 with turf juveniles this season.
Beaten 17½L when fifth of seven on debut (6f, good) at Ripon last month. Yard's juveniles have been going well, but he did start at 9-1 that day so perhaps expectations were not high. Likely to improve a fair bit for it and a market check is advised.
90,000 gns foal, 200,000 gns Book One yearling. Half-brother to 5f winner Archimedes (inc at two) out of a 5f-7f (inc at two) winning full-sister to 5f 2yo Group Three winner Bungleinthejungle, who is a half-sister to UAE 6f Group One winner Muarrab. Plenty going for him on pedigree and jockey booking suggests a bold showing is anticipated.
18L last of 10 on his Leicester debut (6f, good to soft). Step up in trip is a positive, but has plenty to find this time and may be best watched until he has a handicap mark.

Forecasts
George Villiers (9/4), Sallab (10/3), Falmouth Light (5/1), Musbaq (7/1), Master Of Wine (8/1), Connect (8/1), Matewan (12/1), Font Vert (18/1), Vice Marshal (50/1), Giovanni Medici (66/1)
An interesting contest in prospect here and given the precocious nature of his pedigree and the booking of Ryan Moore, perhaps SALLAB will be the one to come home in front today. George Villiers will command plenty of attention given his huge price tag and he too should give a good account, while the same can be said of Connect and Falmouth Light,in a race that it looks like paying to side with a newcomer.
