Promising effort when fourth of 11 on her debut over 6f at Leopardstown (good) 13 months ago but disappointed in two starts since in recent months. Wears blinkers for the first time today.

Filly ran some promising races last year, comes here off a break and could well be more to come if she's strengthened up as a 3yo.

Makes limited appeal based on two maiden runs on turf last summer but has shown much better form on the AW this year and that would make him a worthy contender if reproducing it on this surface.

Only modest form in maidens to work from, tried 5f on handicap bow at Navan this month in an apprentice contest and was outpaced. Back up in distance suits but hard to be confident in his chances.

Starting to look exposed and the blinkers need to have a more positive effect this time around over a longer trip. Does get 3lb back to aid the cause.

Not much to write home about from her time with Mick Channon; and her two previous starts for her current yard didn't really yield much of a return. Ran as if something was amiss last time out, however, and bring from a highly respected yard so well worth a look in the betting.

Just the six runs so far, had shown glimpses of ability over 5f/6f in Britain before leaving Brian Meehan to join this yard. Stable debut over 6f (good to firm) at Cork early last month left plenty to be desired.

Showed some promise in three turf maidens last year, comes back now from winter layoff for first handicap start on this surface and a market check is advised to gauge chances.

Only win so far came in a French maiden in one of her first races, and she has looked handicapped beyond her best recently, with experiments at a variety of trips failing to come off.

Still without a win after 15 attempts on turf (plus one on the AW). That statistic certainly makes it hard to be enthusiastic but, on the plus side, the drop back to this trip should help.

Was well beaten in three starts in maiden company early this season and similar pattern in 1m2f claimer (good to firm) at this track 15 days ago. Gets a first-time visor added now and might be capable of better in a handicap for the first time.

Finished down the field in three maidens including on turf at Naas last month over this trip (good to firm) and will need to post a much-improved effort for this handicap bow to be in the mix.

Dragon Pulse filly has taken a couple of backwards steps in recent efforts, including on turf bow over 7f at Limerick last month and so has a bit to prove at the moment.

Placed once from nine starts so far. That effort came when ½L third at Dundalk over 6f in November. Best effort since when finishing fourth over this trip at Limerick (good to firm) on penultimate start but has since flopped over 7f here off a mark of 51.

Well and truly beaten off in trio of maidens thus far, comes here off a short break but hard to build any enthusiasm for this handicap bow on current terms.

All three maiden runs have come at Naas, two of them over this trip, and there hasn't been anything in those to warrant support for this handicap debut.

Forecasts

Buddha Boy (5/2), Shawami (7/2), Milo's Lass (6/1), Fast Kar (10/1), Milish (12/1), Texas Dancer (14/1), Main Pulse (16/1), Madam Bounska (16/1), Gifted Lady (20/1), Lady Tipperary (20/1), Nothing To Lose (25/1), Barrys Girl (25/1), Killala (25/1), Billyfairplay (28/1), Abundant Courage (28/1), Lavinuela (33/1), Skiddadle (33/1)

Verdict

Buddha Boy has improved on the AW this year but there remains a nagging doubt after his tame efforts on grass last summer, so he may be best watched for now. Abundant Courage showed some modicum of ability during his time in Britain and could be capable of better than he showed on his stable debut at Cork last time, with similar sentiments applying to Shawami from the Harrington yard. Main Pulse has stumbled recently but could have more to offer but a chance is taken on MILO'S LASS who showed ability in maidens on turf and represents a yard amongst the winners recently (2/4 in previous fortnight) now making her return to action.
  1. Milo's Lass
  2. Buddha Boy
  3. Main Pulse
