Looked likely to improve for his debut third at Leicester in early April (5F good), but possibly found the race at Bath coming too quickly just seven days later when a disappointing ninth of eleven to Chagatai. Absent since (non-runner at Leicester on 30th May) and now up in trip.

Cost £100,000 as a yearling, but this son of Exceed and Excel was a well beaten last of seven on debut at Bath (5½F firm) three weeks ago. Needs to have drawn plenty from that experience.

Stepped forward from his Windsor debut (5F good) when fitted with a visor and upped to this trip at Goodwood earlier this month. Capable of building on that effort under similar conditions.

Rear division finishes in both starts to date, and arguably regressed slightly from Newbury to Newmarket when upped to 6F. Blinkers applied for the first-time.
€92,000 foal, but that price fell sharply to £20,000 as a yearling. Unraced tenth foal by Excelebration out of Mubkera and a half-brother to five winners including Group 3 winner Green Destiny.

Stablemate of Liva, and finished narrowly in front of Airshow on debut when runner up to Kick On Kick On at Leicester in early April (5F good). However, took a backward step when well beaten and only fourth of nine to Green Power at Nottingham (6F soft) late last month. Better ground helpful.

45,000 gns yearling by Kodiac who showed plenty (yet can be expected to improve for the experience) when doing her best work late to get within about 1L of Di Fede at Kempton (6F). Tackles colts and geldings now, but receives weight, so expected to figure on her turf debut.

Unraced first foal by Mastercraftsman out of Caribbean Ace who fetched £50,000 as a yearling. Her dam was well related (a half-sister to 5F juvenile Listed winner Knavesmire) and represents a yard which traditionally achieve plenty with their two-year-old's.

Forecasts

Klosters (11/10), Merchant Marine (7/2), Liva (6/1), Zain Flash (9/1), Mysaan (9/1), Airshow (12/1), Bin Daahir (12/1), That's My Girl (16/1), Stockings Lane (40/1)

Verdict

Zain Flash is closely matched with Airshow on their clash at Leicester in early April, and it remains to be seen which of those two horses will be best suited by this 6F trip. Liva posted a good effort on debut at Newbury last month, but this stablemate of Zain Flash will encounter a much slicker surface tonight. That's My Girl warrants respect for Richard Hannon, but Klosters gave the impression that she'd benefit immeasurably for her recent outing at Kempton, and this daughter of Kodiac receives a handy weight allowance (and more with her riders 3lb claim) from eight of her nine rivals.
  1. Klosters
  2. That's My Girl
  3. Liva
