Successful twice from 13 starts under rules so far. Finished a good second over 3m at Market Rasen (good) when making his chasing debut last month and raced keenly before falling at the 12th at Uttoxeter on his last run. Should go well if putting in a clear round.
Raised in the weights after winning at Sedgefield in February, he was second at Ffos Las before being pulled up at Stratford last time. Hopefully, that was a rare lapse and he can be more competitive this time.
Has cut little ice in three handicap hurdles since joining his current trainer, but this is only his third chase and he has already won once over fences at Exeter in 2015 before being highly tried next time. The switch back to fences should suit, but lack of recent form is a worry.
Shed his maiden tag over fences at the eighth time of asking when winning a C&D novices' handicap chase last time. He did little when getting to the front, so may be value for more and a 6lb rise is manageable.
Pulled up either side of a fair effort at Sandown. Has had three runs for the champion trainer and is clearly one of the stable's lesser lights, but he has won off a 7lb higher mark than this and would be a contender if returning to form.
Still seeking his first win under rules after 11 starts, but has been touched off on his last couple of runs and although he was flattered by his proximity to a wayward winner last time, he can be competitive off this mark. The extra distance of this race should suit, too.
Hit-and-miss performer whose most notable recent effort saw him easily win a Chepstow handicap under a 10lb claimer. Two subsequent runs have been far removed from that winning display so it is hard to know what to expect.
Still searching for his first win after 11 starts over fences, but has shown signs of ability and the handicapper has become more lenient. Behind Clubs Are Trumps at Market Rasen last time, however, and has it all to do.
Wins in his turn and took advantage of his falling handicap mark at Kempton last year when scoring by two lengths. Ran well when second of four off this mark in an ordinary race when last seen at Wincanton in April, but this looks more competitive.

Most of these are exposed and Clubs Are Trumps certainly has the ability to win this if on one of his going days. However, he is not a reliable betting proposition and Beneficial Joe is rated a better option if nonetheworse for his fall last time. Mahlers Star promises to be suited by this step up in trip and A Tail Of Intrigue represents a powerful yard, but the percentage call is HEROES OR GHOSTS, who did no more than he had to when winning over C&D last time and looks to have more in the locker.
