British Stallion Studs EBF Fillies' Novice Stakes (Plus 10)

Mayson filly who got the hang of things late in the day at Redcar last time to win on debut and justify short price favouritism. Should come on for that effort, having raced plenty green enough throughout the contest but 4lb penalty in a stronger contest means she can't afford to race keenly this time.

Canford Cliffs filly, cost 24,000 gns as a foal and £15,000 as a yearling. Dam was a half-sister to Group 3 winner Ishvana. Disappointing and well beaten on two career starts to date and likely to do better when tackling handicaps.

Dubawi filly well beaten on debut but not without market support prior to the race and plenty of speed in her pedigree. First-time hood needs to have the desired effect if she is to get on the scoresheet.

More exposed than most of these and not been setting the world alight in a quartet of maidens this year. May win races at some stage but unlikely to be here.

Havana Gold filly unplaced on all three starts but she's done a little better than that stat suggests, particularly in her first two races. Paid the price for a poor draw in a deeper contest at Chester last time but not discounted if she can take a step forward.

Henrythenavigator filly, dam a half-sister to Group 3 winner Pelligrosso. Will want more of a stamina test than what she will get here.

Famous Name filly purchased for just €800 at the sales last September. Full-sister to winning three-year-old What Wonders Wave. Didn't show a whole lot on debut and very slow to leave the stalls. Better expected here but others make more appeal.

Myboycharlie filly, subject to some market support on all three of her starts to date. Shown inexperience from the gate on two of her runs but looked a little unlucky not to win at Beverley the time she got away on terms. May want a return to faster ground to be seen at her best.

Choisir filly, dam was a middle distance AW winner and half-sister to US Grade 1 winner I'm A Dreamer. Fair effort on debut but sure to appreciate further than this trip and should do better over middle distances.

Sepoy filly, cost 60,000 gns as a yearling. Half-sister to winners Harathea and Gaazwa. Dam was a middle distance winner and half-sister to Listed winner Barolo. Yard capable of readying one for a debut but she looks in need of more of a stamina test than this.
