Won three times for Richard Hannon, but yet to find his feet for new yard, though ran better than bare result suggests at Wetherby last month. Took a step backwards at Beverley latest but dropped 3lb and not dismissed lightly.
Twice a winner from 17 starts, with both wins coming at Thirsk. Handicapper has held sway in all three starts this year, though she did appear to take a step forward on the AW last time. Others still look more convincing.
Was in good form in 2016 winning five handicaps, the last three coming in a hat-trick in July/August. Mark shot up as a result but is beginning to fall to more a realistic level and he cannot be dismissed, even though 7f stretches his stamina.
Hold-up performer who showed a liking for this track when scoring on only previous visit here last summer (good to firm). Has also added a win on the AW and is better than she has shown so far this term, not getting a clear run latest. Respected.
Has hinted that there might be some ability there in maidens with handicaps the longer term aim but he was always behind on his handicap debut last October and returns from a long break here.
Doesn't seem as happy on turf as artificial surfaces, though did reach the frame at Doncaster (6f, good to firm) a few runs back. Still looks in need of some help from the handicapper and hopes pinned on first-time cheekpieces sparking improvement.
Scored sole success here (6f, good to firm) last summer but very disappointing reappearance effort over C&D last month. Two below par AW efforts have followed and she still has something to prove over this trip as a visor is now reached for.
All three wins have come over 5f and 6f, his latest success coming two years ago. Has still to convince he fully stays 7f, having finished 10th of 13 over the distance at Beverley on his reappearance and others look more likely.
A credit to connections over the years, winning 10 times, though only one of those successes has come on turf. Decent enough effort when fifth of eight over C&D here last time, so not entirely dismissed off a 3lb lower mark.
Yet to trouble the judge in 14 attempts at trips from 5f to 7f. most recently when last of 18 on her return from a break at Thirsk (6f, good to firm) last month. Hard to fancy despite being in good hands.

Forecasts
Tigserin (4/1), Steal The Scene (9/2), Chetan (9/2), Himalayan Queen (6/1), Pennine Warrior (7/1), African Trader (8/1), Iceaxe (12/1), The Firm (14/1), The Happy Hammer (16/1), Sakhee's Jem (16/1), Kingfisher Girl (50/1)
A trappy contest in which the likes of Steal The Scene, Chetan and even the veteran The Happy Hammer merit close inspection. However, the case for any is hardly bombproof so it may pay to give another chance to HIMALAYAN QUEEN. Willie Jarvis' filly has flattered to deceive and still has to fully convince over 7f but the booking of Andrea Atzeni takes the eye and she is on a winning mark.
- Himalayan Queen
- Steal The Scene
- Chetan
