Dance To Paris

14/1
First juvenile runner of the season from a yard that has only had seven two-year-old runners (one winner) in the past five seasons. Cost €20,000 as a yearling and is a half-sister to two winners in France but would be an unlikely winner here especially with the wide draw.
Debutante and one of three runners in this for a yard that have yet to have a juvenile winner this season from 30 runners so far. First foal who cost £21,000 as a yearling with the dam a 1m2f winner. Given the record so far this season with juveniles probably best watched on this occasion.

One of two runners from a yard that has already clocked up 19 juvenile winners this season. This one is speedily bred but failed to build on her initial third at Ripon when disappointing on softer ground last time out at Doncaster. May well appreciate the return to better ground but question marks about the 6f trip with her pedigree.

The second of two runners from this yard who do well with two-year-olds and this one certainly needed the experience on her debut at Newcastle (AW) over 5f. Not knocked around on debut and could well improve over this extra furlong although the draw is a little wider than ideal.

Yard have been a little slower and below par with their juveniles this year but are starting to spark now with this one having made a promising debut at Redcar over 6f. Form of that race has yet to be tested but she stuck on well and should be able to progress despite the less than ideal berth in stall 9.

This stable were slow to hit the ground with their juveniles this year but have got rolling of late and now have 12 winners in this sphere on the board. Plenty of shown improvement on their second outings and this will need to do the same as she was well behind Miss DD on debut at Redcar.

6/1
The third runner from this yard but the only one of the trio that are making their debuts having cost €16,000 as a yearling. She's a half-sister to the winner over 6f (and further) Carlton Blue out of an unraced dam. Looking at the jockey booking it looks as though she may be expected to need this.

Age: 2|  Weight: 8-10| J: Cam Hardie| T: T D Easterby
50/1
The second of a trio from this stable who are yet to have a two-year-old winner and this one was a very cheaply bought yearling (£800). Made little impression on her debut and would need to have made some rapid progress to take a hand here.

Shown very little in three runs so far all over 5f and hopes pinned on a step up to 6f bringing about some improvement but that looks long shot. May have finished third last time out but was beaten a long way and makes very little appeal.

Only juvenile winner that the yard have had has come this year but this one hardly looks likely to provide the second have started at 100/1 when well held over 5f on soft in a Thirsk maiden last time. Very much bred for longer trips so the 6f here may help but looks outclassed really.

Paco Bleue13
Age: 2|  Weight: 8-10| J: D Allan| T: T D Easterby
6/1
Completes the trio of runners from this yard but the pedigree is just an ordinary one and she looked as though she needed further when running fifth on debut and has work to do with Miss DD.

Forecasts

Miss Dd (2/1), Peace Prevails (6/1), Flo's Melody (6/1), Paco Bleue (6/1), Sandama (6/1), Miss Van Winkle (10/1), Dance To Paris (14/1), Fastalong (20/1), Dark Hedges (50/1), Boss Koko (50/1), French Silk (66/1)

Verdict

Multiple representation from a couple of yards here with both Time Easterby and Richard Fahey running three and it’s the latter that look to field the better squad especially as they have been in good form with their juveniles this year. Peace Prevails looks the pick of the Fahey team with Flo’s Melody being the second choice of his trio. The Easterby trio look an ordinary bunch with Paco Bleue looking the best of his threesome. Outside of those two stables the Johnston runner Miss Van Winkle could show some improvement but they will all have to go to match the debut form of MISS DD. She turned in the best debut run and despite the less than ideal draw she could put that experience to good use here in what is a weak looking event.
  1. Miss Dd
  2. Peace Prevails
  3. Miss Van Winkle
