C&D winner but not won since 2015 now and not getting any younger. Entitled to come on for recent comeback run at Newmarket but he's opposable from 7lb above his highest winning mark.
Goes well around here and looked unlucky not to win over C&D three starts back when stopped in the run. Returned here last time with another fair effort and while he gives the impression he needs everything to fall right, there's a good chance he'll get the strong pace he wants here. Won with cut in the ground when trained in Ireland and could run well again.
Not won since 2014 and was a high-class sort on his day but doesn't appear to retain a lot of that ability and his run here last month wasn't particularly encouraging.
Eight-time winner on the AW and won at Kempton last time out but still a maiden on turf after 23 starts and only placed on one of those occasions.
Two wins from six starts and only narrowly touched off at Windsor last time, staying on well and giving the impression this step back up in trip will suit. Still more to come and leading player in this line up.
Not beaten far here last time and on his last winning mark currently. All wins have come over further than this so probably needs this to turn into a test of a stamina and wouldn't the ground to dry out to much but he has each-way claims again off a feasible mark.
Not won since 2015 and yet to get off the mark for this yard but he did run well at Leicester a couple of starts back. Couldn't back that up at that same course last time. Needs a strong pace to aim at to be seen to best effect.
Too free last time at Haydock but he's a promising sort who had run well on his previous three starts. Can be forgiven that effort and no surprise to see him bounce back but softer conditions are an unknown.
Two-time winner on the AW but hasn't looked quite as effective on turf and ran poorly on sole attempt around here last season. Still early days but needs plenty of improvement to take a hand in this contest.
Forecasts
Time To Exceed (11/4), Medburn Dream (3/1), The Warrior (5/1), Aventinus (6/1), Tai Sing Yeh (8/1), Professor (14/1), Scottish Glen (16/1), Mister Music (25/1), Athassel (25/1)
THE WARRIOR goes well around here and provided he gets a decent pace to aim at, he should run well. Time To Exceed is still unexposed and Medburn Dream ran well here last time and they look like the main dangers to the selection.
- The Warrior
- Time To Exceed
- Medburn Dream
