Won a Salisbury maiden back in 2015 but very disappointing last season. Has given the impression in a couple of starts this year that he's returned in better form an it looked a nice race that he finished third in at Haydock last time so may be capable of going a place or two better here with the Champion Jockey in the saddle.
Very consistent sort, both over hurdles and on the level and there's still some scope from his Flat mark. Versatile ground wise and gives the impression there's still more to come.
Two-time winner on the Flat when trained in Germany back in 2012 but not seen in this sphere since. Opening handicap mark looks stiff and others preferred.
Consistent hurdler who stayed on well to justify short-price favouritism at Windsor last time. Still looks well-handicapped in this sphere and will be hard to beat in a follow up bid.
Bounced back from a poor run of form over C&D last time, benefiting from a smart ride. Only gone up 2lb for that but softer conditions are a bit of an unknown.
Seemingly needs soft in the going description to be seen at his best so won't want the ground to dry out too much. Could go on improving now trying this trip for the first time.
Well suited to cut in the ground and has been in good form lately. Runner-up over C&D here last month with this jockey booked and looks capable of going well again but others may be slightly better handicapped.
Has been running a little below form for a while now but mark starting to fall as a result. Forced to race from out of the handicap here and a bit to prove currently.
Still a maiden after eight starts but has run some fair races. This looks a decent contest for the grade though and she is up against some well-handicapped sorts.
Forecasts
London Prize (7/4), Sternrubin (10/3), Paris Protocol (6/1), Medburn Cutler (8/1), Michael's Mount (12/1), Chartbreaker (12/1), Fitzwilly (14/1), Mazalto (33/1), Milord (40/1)
STERNRUBIN will be hard to beat for top NH trainer Phillip Hobbs. He still looks well-handicapped on his hurdles form and he is taken to follow up his win last time. Chartbreaker was a C&D winner last time and should run well from just a 2lb higher mark while Michael's Mount should enjoy the forecast conditions and the step up in trip could see that one improve.
- Sternrubin
- Chartbreaker
- Michael's Mount
