Helmet colt who cost 40,000 gns as a foal and 60,000 gns as a yearling. Easy to back on debut and ran accordingly. Needs to improve significantly at a time when yard are 2-34 in the past fortnight.
By Scat Daddy, a 1m Group One winner at two. Second foal of a Canadian 1m¼f AW winning half-sister to Canadian 1m1f Listed winner Noble Strike. Weak in the market on debut when he was never travelling well. Entitled to improve for top trainer/jockey combination, but that should not be difficult from such a low key start.
Son of the speedy Showcasing out of a dam who won on her debut over a mile. Half-brother to dual winning sprinter Impart. Market check is advised.
Arcano colt out of an unraced mare who is closely related to Group Three winning juvenile Muthabara amongst other useful horses. Stable yet to fire with their juveniles and 0-31 in past two weeks overall.
Dubawi colt, half brother to three smart middle distance horses and dam was a 5f two-year-old winner out of triple Group 1 winner Canny Lass. Fourth behind his strongly fancied stable companion on debut at Goodwood. Will benefit from the run and this stiffer track. Yard 8-13 with this age group in 2016. Holds a Group One entry.
From the first crop of top-class two-year-old and Prix Jean Prat winner Havana Gold. Fetched 60,000 gns as a yearling. Stable 1-53 in the last four weeks.
Poet's Voice colt, half-brother to six winners, mainly over middle-distances. Shaped as though needing further on debut when finishing behind Folk Tale at Goodwood. Yard 0-20 in past fortnight.
Improved on debut effort when beaten in a photo finish at Chelmsford. Needs to find more but that is likely and stable took this last year.
Full-brothers Odin and Norse Light are winners over middle-distances. Looks certain to need further and in last couple of seasons the yard's juveniles have done better from July onwards.

Encrypted has a pedigree that warrants a market check for his debut in what appears to be a much weaker division of this contest. Tangled represents the yard that sprang a surprise in this event 12 months ago with Nibras Bounty. His form does not look good enough but the yard's juveniles have been improving for a run or two. FOLK TALE will have learnt a lot from his debut on the Goodwood undulations where he finished fourth to a more strongly fancied stable companion. The son of Dubawi was noted coming from well off the pace to just miss out on third. The stiffer finish here will assist as he bids to enhance the yard's impressive strike rate in juvenile races this term. Dichato was never travelling well on his debut but is bred to be a lot better than that. Having been weak in the market that day it would be wise to use the same instrument to gauge his prospects here.
