Non-runner at Haydock on Thursday (unsuitable ground). He showed promise despite running green on his debut at Newbury over 6f on soft for a yard whose juveniles have shown a propensity for improving on their second run of the year. The Newbury form has already been franked and he comes here with a good chance.

Form of his Leicester debut hasn't been tested yet but he showed a lot more than the betting suggested when he was 100/1 on his debut. Showed plenty of speed and open to some more improvement here.

Two runs so far haven't shown that much and he's been well held in both his starts and others preferred here.

Blinkers are on for this ones debut which is slightly off-putting who cost ÂŁ200,000 from an April breeze-up sale. He's the first foal of a sister to a US Stakes-placed turf and dirt winner and bred to be speedy. Was withdrawn from his intended debut at Salisbury when he was unruly at the start but worth watching in the market this time around.
Dam was a 6f two-year-old AW winner who cost ÂŁ11,500 as a yearling. Yard are not usually associated with juvenile winners especially debutantes and best watched here.

Price increased from foal to yearling (€50,000) and he's the most experienced in this field having had three runs already. Started favourite on his last two starts and disappointed when wearing a first-time hood last time at Beverley (ran far too keen) and will need to quell that trait to take a hand here.

Just the one run to her name so fat having made her debut over 6f on the AW at Chelmsford when starting as joint-favourite and showing plenty of promise. Only beaten on that occasion by a couple with experience and looks sure to progress despite dropping back to 5f here.
Two tries in 5f maidens so far one on the AW and one on turf have shown little and it may be low-grade nurseries will be her eventual destination.

Steady improvement would be the notation on the report card so far who has three runs under her belt. The best of those came last time out at Windsor when making her turf debut although it remains to be seen how much more progress she has in her with three runs already behind her and up against some who could well improve markedly here.

Forecasts

Billy Dylan (11/8), Gotti (9/2), Spoof (9/2), Bath And Tennis (6/1), Kodiac Express (8/1), Catapult (12/1), City Guest (66/1), Butterfly Spirit (80/1), Lisbon Legend (100/1)

Verdict

Decent start to the card and plenty of eyes will be on Gotti who cost plenty from the breeze-ups at £200,000 and he’ll need watching at the start having been withdrawn after playing up on his intended debut. That means that BILLY DYLAN is preferred here from a yard that often see their juveniles improve on their second runs and the form of his debut is working out well. Bath And Tennis is also respected having shown plenty of ability on her debut while Catapult could well progress from a promising debut at Leicester when he wasn’t really fancied.
  1. Billy Dylan
  2. Bath And Tennis
  3. Catapult
