Maiden winner on fourth start over C&D in August, has run in some decent company since without success though most recent effort in April at Gowran Park (1m1f, soft) was a bit disappointing and arrives here with questions marks.

Decent effort last time in 1m2f Group 3 contest at the Curragh (yielding) when beaten just over 2L in third of nine. Has the ability for a race like this and still holds a few interesting Royal Ascot entries for top team.

Maiden winner over 1m1f at the Curragh on final start of last term, put a disappointing reappearance at this track (1m2f, good to yielding) behind him with battling second at Navan last time in Listed 1m5f contest. Down in trip, remains of interest.

Sea The Stars gelding got off the mark second time out in a 1m2f maiden at the Curragh last month, could have more to offer again and rates one of the more likely ones.

Not disgraced in Group 3/Listed races towards the end of last season, perhaps needed the run at the Curragh on last month's reappearance over 1m. Could do better.

Ran well in C&D handicap last month, since been disappointing over a furlong longer at Navan and probably has to up game to take this.

Two wins and two seconds from four runs last year, ending the term with fine success in a Fillies' Group 3 at the Curragh over 7f on soft to yielding ground, every chance there is more to come if straight for this return to action.

Forecasts

Eziyra (2/1), Night Of Glory (5/2), Grandee (7/2), Finn McCool (11/2), Brutal (10/1), Percy (33/1), Three Jacks (40/1)

Verdict

EZIYRA has fitness to prove returning from a layoff but the Weld filly still looks the one to beat in this field. She comes out best on ratings and collects a handy 5lb from her rivals ensuring she gets the nod. Brutal has run with credit in decent races and isn’t ruled out, though he must put a poor show at Gowran Park behind him. Finn McCool, Grandee and Night Of Glory can all lay down some kind of claims too in what looks an open contest.
  1. Eziyra
  2. Brutal
  3. Night Of Glory
