Infrequent winner but well treated on the pick of his form. Not at his best on seasonal return but showed promise last time out. Tough ask under topweight though.
C&D winner from a mark of 57 last April (subsequently won on the AW at Dundalk from 62 ), so is feasibly well treated just now. Best suited by firm ground but should handle the predicted conditions. The betting may guide but sound claims if he gets the strong pace he needs.
Comes here on the back of his eighth course win (5 of which have been over C&D) and has to be respected despite a 4lb higher mark. Rider's claim helps shift some of the burden and another bold bid can be expected.
Versatile regarding the ground and has been in fair form on the AW lately. Not always the easiest to predict though and his habit of throwing in the odd stinker is off-putting. Personal best required from current mark.
Good effort on first start of the season but didn't build on that last time out. A bold show by Love Oasis in the previous race would put that form in a better light, however, so likely the betting will be helpful. First-time blinkers can also assist in finding improvement.
On a long losing run and possible she is better on the AW tracks. Well handicapped from 13lb lower than her last winning mark but currently 0-from-8 on turf and has plenty to prove on the surface.
Low-grade handicapper that last won from a mark of 46 but creeping back up the ratings after a handful of solid efforts. More required here and notable that Sam James prefers Insurplus, so a check in the betting will help focus the picture on the stable's best hope.
On a long losing run and has been off since posting a poor run of from on the AW last January. Debuts for a new yard today and is best left to his own devices.
Last in each of her three starts to date and easy to side-step from out of the weights.
On a poor run of form and difficult to see him troubling the principals on recent evidence.
Forecasts
Mo Henry (7/2), Insurplus (7/2), Sea Of Green (4/1), Frangarry (13/2), Bunce (7/1), Misu Moneypenny (10/1), Goninodaethat (10/1), Red Shadow (50/1), Warleggan (50/1), Piccolino (80/1)
The application of first-time blinkers for INSURPLUS may provide the spark required to put the gelding back on the right track and he gets the nod ahead of his stablemates Sea Of Green and Goninodaethat, who look the pick of the opposition. That said,Mo Henry is a previous C&D winner that doesn't have too much to find at this level. Frangarry is unpredictable but would have strong claims if striding out to the best of his ability.
- Insurplus
- Sea Of Green
- Goninodaethat
