Very well suited to this track, and thrived on grass here during 2015 for Ian Jardine and Anna Hesketh. Similarly did well enough for Susan Corbett last year winning over 2m on Tapeta in August before steadily climbing up the weights. Well beaten from a career high mark in September 2016 and has moved onto a new yard since.

Without doubt is on an upward curve, and has won 2 of her 4 career starts, including a small field fillies handicap by 5L at Lingfield last month (1m2f). Up 6lb, and notably in trip, but is a half-sister to a winning hurdler (Thunder Zone) so should stay.

In good form on synthetics over the winter, winning twice, including over 1m2f here in February. Well beaten back on turf at Doncaster recently after a three month break and interesting to see how she handles this extra yardage.

Dundalk regular, and a three time winner in Ireland at upto 1m4f. Feasible that this galloping track can suit on her recent never nearer efforts, but difficult to translate her Irish form to the UK, and one or two of the others would appear a shade more progressive.

Not at her best this year just yet, but this dual Beverley scorer was a 1L runner up over 1m2f at this track in November 2016 and is a couple of pounds lower tonight. Effective between 1m2f and 1m4f, but on balance needs to show a shade more to be involved.

Notched a quick-fire AW double in the spring at Wolverhampton and Southwell, and would appear to stay this trip judged upon her narrow defeat by the progressive Vuela at Doncaster last month. Kept busy enough since, and perhaps handicapped out of it for win purposes, but should run her race.

Finished ninth of sixteen on her first start for five months at York in May (1m4f soft), but this three time winner has performed with credit on her two previous tries at this track. A winner here over 1m2f in September, she was far from disgraced when a narrow third off this mark to the progressive Isharah in December. Player.

Landed the Oh So Sharp fillies maiden at Nottingham by a head on debut in September 2015, before a very quiet three-year-old campaign (one well below par run). Back with a fair second over a similar trip at Yarmouth last month, and has the potential to do better from a fair mark.

Di Alta11

8/1
20/1 winner of a 1m Newbury fillies maiden on debut in October 2016 (good to soft) and solid enough despite a slow start when fifth over 1m2f to Harebell at Nottingham last month. Upped again in trip with top AW rider taking over in the saddle, so much respected receiving weight all round despite a lofty rating of 77.

Forecasts

Kullu (1/1), Stoney Broke (11/2), Di Alta (8/1), Vogueatti (9/1), Island Flame (10/1), Age of Elegance (16/1), Star Of Lombardy (16/1), Catchy Lass (16/1), Wor Lass (50/1)

Verdict

A competitive fillies handicap, with a number of these runners having the potential to improve further upon what has been achieved on a racecourse to date. KULLU falls firmly into that category, and on breeding looks more likely to be suited by this trip than the previous course winner Vogueatti. Stoney Broke has probably had a few minor issues since winning on debut as a juvenile, but she has better times ahead and has the potential to do better from her mark, as does Di Alta, whilst it would be folly to write off Island Flame based upon her excellent effort behind Isharah and Masterpaver over C&D in December.
  1. Kullu
  2. Island Flame
  3. Di Alta
