Won on heavy ground at Roscommon last winter but couldn't follow up when sent to The Curragh shortly afterwards. Not see out since and now has something else to prove over a new trip.
Won over 2m at Dundalk in January and has subsequently run with credit over fences. Personal best on the Flat now required but still respected as one that will stay the trip without any issues.
Rounded off last year in an inauspicious manner and two starts this year have been much the same. Others preferred.
Dropped to a handy mark and is capable on the Flat. Comes here on the back of a solid effort at The Curragh and would be dangerous to underestimate. Does need to step things up a few notches though.
Back on the same mark as when he landed a 2m event at Tramore last August. Usually takes a couple of runs to put him spot on, so may be best watched on his seasonal return.
Well supported when he made a winning debut at Dundalk last month. Represents a top yard and illustrious connections, so has to be of interest this time around. Steps up the best part of 3f so does need to prove his stamina but hard to avoid his claims in a race where some have a bit to prove and a another fifth are set to race from out of the handicap. Notable that his yard won this last year.
Capable under both codes and has been kept busy of late. C&D winner that holds no secret from the handicapper but is back on an attractive mark. One to consider if the vibes are right.
In good form over hurdles this term so safe to assume he is fit and ready for his return to the Flat. Versatile regarding the ground but worth bearing in mind that he has never won beyond 10f on the level.
Won over 10f at this course last year but seemed to lose his way afterwards. Failed to sparkle on his debut for a new yard last time out and may be best watched just for now.
Lightly raced and has scope for improvement at the trip. Positive that she has gone well at Navan in the past but this looks a stiff test for her bid to rid herself of the maiden tag.
Possibly handicapped on the O'Brien factor but is lightly raced and may well improve for this slight step up in trip. Looks to face a tough task on these terms for a three-year-old but very feasible that he can rise to the challenge.
Won off a mark of 72 at Galway last June but struggled in two subsequent outings under a revised rating. Been given a chance having been dropped 4lb since last seen out. But still needs to prove his fitness and may be best watched.
Back on the Flat after a series of poor efforts over hurdles. Hard to fancy this time around.
Handed an insurmountable task in the Chester Vase last time out but is back at a more realistic level. The runner up from his Dundalk maiden victory has gone on to win three times, so very likely we have yet to see the best of this fellow. A leading contender back in this company.
Been struggling since switched to handicaps and lacks the scope held by others. Cut in the ground won't be an issue but possible this trip will stretch her to the limit.
Comes here on the back of a solid effort over 1m3f at Killarney on his debut for his new yard and has sound claims of making the frame again if this doesn't come around too quickly for him. One to monitor in the betting.
Been a while since his last visit to the winners' enclose but has place claims on the very pick of his efforts. Recent form suggests he needs to raise his game significantly to figure though.
4lb out of the weights and hard to fancy on his first start since August 2016. Others readily preferred.

A chance is taken on DRUIDS CROSS making the most of dropping back to an easier grade of competition. He makes his handicap debut off a reasonable mark and can strike a blow for his up and coming trainer. San Remo is an obvious threat, while Clinical Approach also represents a top yard and has bags of scope for improvement. Sea The Lion also appeals for a speculative put to make the frame.

- San Remo
