Dam was placed over 5f but looks of modest stock. Yard also quiet, so may be best watched after beating just one horse home on debut at Tipperary last month.
Related to winners over further and best watched on debut.
Slowly away on debut and needed plenty of stoking along. May improve with experience but has already created the impression that racing over 5f isn't for him.
Cost $180,000, his dam won over 6f as a juvenile, so very likely he will appreciate a little further in due course. However, he really got the hang of things near the finish on his debut at Cork and will be a threat to all if he breaks on terms this time around.
Had excuses for a poor show on debut (got loose in the preliminaries) so can be forgiven that effort. Still, she obviously has a few ideas of her own, so may be best to employ a watching brief this time around.
Had a couple of nicely-bred types in behind at Cork last month, so respected on that effort. Also positive that she has experience of this C&D but already on her way to being exposed and may do better once she goes handicapping.
Wasn't beaten too far on debut considering that she was clueless leaving the stalls. and was eased after meeting trouble in running near the finish. Interesting to see how the market reacts to her presence but she may still be best watched for the time being.
Already has three starts behind her but made no impression over C&D last time out. The way she weakened on that occasion suggested another furlong and a handicap mark may be her best route to future riches.
Dam needed 1m4f to get off the mark, so very feasible this Vocalised filly will follow suit. Rince Deireanach looks the better option from the Bolger yard.
Has 5f winners in her family and comes from a highly respected yard that has already had a juvenile winner in the last week. One of the more likely types despite her lack of experience.
Cost 32,000 gns, her dam won over 7f. The filly posted a respectable effort on debut at Dundalk and was just run out of things near the finish. Possible this more demanding surface will play to her strengths, so very feasible to expect her to be thereabouts when push comes to shove.
Forecasts
Treasuring (3/1), Rince Deireanach (10/3), War Ensign (7/2), Yulong Warrior (4/1), Damselfly (7/1), In The Dip (16/1), New Vocation (20/1), Gallant Girl (25/1), Early Call (33/1), Big Bad Sal (40/1), Pretty Boy Floyd (40/1)
Likely to be an informative maiden and a few of these look capable of paying their way before too long. However, RINCE DEIREANACH may be a step ahead of them all if she lives up to her billing and the daughter of Teofilio edges a narrow vote of confidence as the one with the most potential. Yulong Warrior and Damselfly have already shown enough to suggest they can find a race at some point, while Treasuring also merits a check in the betting as she may be a good value option to make the frame at least.
- Rince Deireanach
- Yulong Warrior
- Treasuring
