Three career wins to date have been on turf, scoring over 7f at Salisbury and twice over a mile at Bath. Has only had the one previous run on the AW, over 1m at Chelmsford City back in March 2015 but was tailed off. Below par on his latest start over 1m at Doncaster. Needs his best here.
Stable in pretty good heart but all five of his career wins to date have been on turf. Yet to win a race in 17 outings on an artificial surface, he was beaten just under 6L on his most recent start at Carlisle and has shown enough to suggest he can win races on the AW.
Scored over an extended 1m3f at Windsor just under a year ago for the last of her two career wins but unseated her amateur rider at the same track six days later. Lightly raced since, she was in good heart last autumn and could run well here on her return to action.
Four-time winner on turf, this gelding has only had the one previous outing on the AW and it turned out to be a winning one, scoring over 1m4f at Wolverhampton in August 2016, coming with a storming late run to win. Beaten a long way on his recent return to action, he will strip a lot fitter here.
Eight of his 10 career wins to date have been on the AW, holding on for a game neck success over an extended 7f here at Lingfield last time out. Stays this trip well and he is sure to have plenty of support in this opener.
Has a fairly decent record on the AW, landing a fourth success at Kempton in November 2015 when he cruised home. A winner at Epsom just under a year ago, he has been slowly away in each of his last two starts and will need to step up a little to win here.
A fairly consistent performer on turf, scoring over today's trip at Bath back in July of last year. Has been tried over 2m in each of his last two races, shaping quite well and the drop back to this much shorter trip is sure to suit. Will not be far away.
Landed back-to-back races over this 1m2f trip last summer, taking his career wins to seven but he has not scored on the AW for some time. Has cut little ice in two recent outings at Yarmouth and has a bit to find to land the spoils here.

A tricky opening race but the one to be on is ZEPHYROS. This six-year-old gelding is a fairly consistent performer on turf and certainly knows where the winning line is. Not disgraced in two recent starts over 2m, the drop back in trip should suit and a big run is expected. Rum Swizzle is in fine fettle at present and she is entitled to go close on her best form. Jersey Jewel is returning to the track after a decent break and has excellent each-way claims and The Gay Cavalier is another worth a second look.
