Cost €28,000 as a yearling and quite nicely bred being a half-brother to two-year-old 6f winner The Stalking Moon. Yard are 2/14 with juveniles this year and one of the newcomers to note.

Not a yard that you would note for a juvenile debutante and this second foal of an unraced dam may be best watched here.

Another yard not noted for their juvenile winners having had just the four since 2012. This Intense Focus colt is out of a mare who was a 1m2f winner and may just need the run here.
Not a yard noted for juveniles and they are 0/23 with debutantes since 2012. This Firebreak colt is a half-brother to 5f/6f winner Moiety while the dam was also a 5f winner. Some speed in the pedigree and may be able to go a bit.

First of two runners for this yard and looks the second string on jockey bookings having cost just £600 as a yearling. Half-brother to several winners, including ungenuine winner up to 1m2f Zinging and may just need this experience.

One of only two with experience in this she looked as though she needed the run on debut at Leicester when finishing sixth (third came out and won next time). May well come on for that run and put her initial run to good use.
One of only two juvenile runners from this yard so far this year she showed ability on her debut when a 66/1 shot at Windsor over 6f. Stable are not usually associated with two-year-old winners but reproduction of that form would see her go close here.

Stable have a modest strike rate with their juvenile debutantes although this one wasn't cheap (cost £45,000 as a yearling). The second foal of a dam who was a maiden (best over 5f) she is a sister to the useful juvenile 6f winner Mr Wizard and could well be worth watching in the market.

Forecasts

Not After Midnight (5/4), Goldenground (3/1), Dan's Dream (6/1), Ghost Serge (13/2), Prezzie (8/1), Silvington (14/1), Misty Breese (14/1), The Kiddie Kid (22/1), Lyford (25/1)

Verdict

Not that many that appeal on pedigree in the first division of this juvenile event over 6f. Of the newcomers Prezzie looks to have a speedy pedigree with Ghost Surge worthy of respect with Silvington put up as one who could outrun his odds given his pedigree. But the experience of NOT AFTER MIDNIGHT stands out here with that third on her debut at Windsor a solid piece of form and if she backs that up she’ll be hard to beat here.
  1. Not After Midnight
  2. Prezzie
  3. Ghost Serge
