Takes a significant step-up in trip here for an in-form yard but not certain to stay this far after being held over a mile at Nottingham last time.

Started big prices on two starts in maidens but looks to have outrun his price last time at Windsor over 1m2f. Showed improved form from his debut and looks to show a fair amount of ability and could well step forward again here.

Seen just the once so far in a Chepstow maiden over a mile on good to soft going when he was slowly away. Strong in the betting there he was very green and needed the experience but is clearly thought to have ability and could well show more here.

Very little to show for his two runs so far (both as a two-year-old) and yet to beat a horse home. Very little claim on form but from a top yard that is going well at the moment and hard to totally dismiss.

Showed very little on his debut recently finishing a well beaten sixth of seven and beaten 27L at Chepstow and would need to show improvement here.

Breeding suggests that he may struggle to stay this far but he did show improved form from his debut last time at Chelmsford over 1m2f. Pulled well clear of the rest of the field with the first two and although he could run well here he does look one more for handicaps after this.

On pedigree it looks as though the trip will stretch this one on debut and best watched for now with some more experienced types in the field.

Cost £8,500 as a yearling and there is some stamina in the pedigree with her being a half-sister to a 1m3f winner in Nebulla and mile winner Dommersen who were both useful. Dam won over a mile and worth keeping an eye on in the market on her debut.

Forecasts

Zack Mayo (9/4), Desert Explorer (9/4), Makkadangdang (5/2), Sonnetist (9/2), Orin Swift (5/1), Enola (16/1), Think So (18/1), Cthulhu (22/1), High Wells (25/1), Act Swiftly (50/1)

Verdict

Those with experience are probably the ones to concentrate on here with the Windsor form of ORIN SWIFT looking the most interesting on offer. Makkadangdang will be of interest if he can reproduce his Brighton run with Desert Explorer (if her stays) and Sonnetist (if he builds on his debut) also two that could take a hand here. Zack Mayo may have to improve again to be successful in maidens and looks one more for handicaps with newcomer Enola worth watching in the market.
  1. Orin Swift
  2. Makkadangdang
  3. Sonnetist
