Huge amount of improvement required after she finished last at Ascot on debut. Hard to fancy just now.
An Aussie Rules filly out of Where Or When mare, she has a likeable pedigree but showed very little on debut at Chelmsford and is best left alone on that evidence.
Third on her reappearance at Wolverhampton gave some encouragement for the future but she already has a bit to find with So Sleek after their encounter at Nottingham last October. Respected as her yard is in great form but others appear to hold more scope at this stage.
Plenty of stamina in her pedigree, so it was a tad disappointing that she failed to make an impact over a similar trip on debut earlier in the month. She is bound to come on for the experience but she looks more likely to have more of a say when she goes handicapping.
The trip should suit and her stable is back amongst the winners but her debut run left a lot to be desired and it's not hard to leave her out of the betting plans on that evidence.
This looks like her minimum trip on breeding and she needs to up the ante after failing to keep tabs with a couple of potentially decent types on her reappearance at Wolverhampton. Yard is in good form, though. And very likely she will h=be sharper for the run, so one to bear in mind for a place if the market vibes are right.
An expensive purchase, she has plenty of winners in her bloodlines. However, even though she finished well ahead of Dreamtide at Lingfield earlier this month, she was never a threat to the winner and already looks like she needs more of a test of stamina.
The form of her latest effort latest effort sets the standard to aim for here. She cost 450,000 gns and has been found a good opportunity to pay back the first instalment. Yard has been quiet, so may not be the best value bet of the day if only cramped odds are available.
Bred to appreciate at least this sort of trip, she is a half-sister to several useful types. May need the experience but one for the notebook whatever happens.
Forecasts
So Sleek (4/6), Munstead Star (9/2), Doreen (11/2), Perfect In Pink (7/1), Dreamtide (16/1), Sure To Explore (20/1), Quay Point (50/1), Franny Nisbet (50/1), Astroshadow (100/1)
This looks like an ideal confidence booster for the regally-bred SO SLEEK, whose yard excels with this type of animal and she can go on to better things if she takes this in her stride. Munstead Star represents an in-form yard and can make this a good test, while Perfect In Pink also appeals as one cap bale of making the frame in this company. Support for the debutante, Sure To Explore, would also be noteworthy in a race that lacks a bit of strength-in-depth.
- So Sleek
- Munstead Star
- Perfect In Pink
