Has played only a small part in two races for his current trainer so far, and looks plenty high enough in the weights, but at least his mark is slowly going down and he goes again here at a course he enjoys.
Has enjoyed some success as a chaser but now returns to hurdles, which he has never won over, off a high weight. Should be best watched on that basis.
C&D winner in May 2015 but that was his most recent victory over hurdles (has won on the all-weather since). Has been running with some credit on the Flat recently but entitled to find things trickier with a high hurdles mark now back over obstacles.
Put in one of his better performances for a long while at Uttoxeter last time, finishing third, and is now actually 1lb lower in the handicap. Still yet to win over hurdles but with the improvement he has showed this rates as his best opportunity yet.
Dual-C&D winner, most recently back in March and has been kept busy since then. Only 1lb higher in the weights than at the time of that victory, and should give another good account.
Fell at an early stage last time out at Towcester, but ran a career best over hurdles the time before to finish second in a Plumpton handicap, and is currently on 2lb higher in the weights. Ground should suit and looks a key player.
C&D winner who hasn't been the force of old in his recent starts. Finished well behind Water Willow at Plumpton last time and connections now reach for blinkers to see if that can get him back on track.
Ran a fine race to finish second at a fair price at Warwick last time out, but is raised 8lb by the handicapper as a result. That seems a little bit harsh, but he is still improving and not impossible he could over come that.
Hat-trick seeker who has recently taken two races in Jersey in good style, with her handicap mark remaining unaffected. This will probably be tougher, but she has shown she has the ability to win races, though she wouldn't want too much rain.
No win since August 2015 and has run races mostly of little account since switching to this current yard. Has it all to do on form.

This is an open looking handicap hurdle where it may pay to side with PETRUCCI. Derek Shaw's charge is still yet to get off the mark over hurdles but ran very well at Uttoxeter last time when finishing third and is clearly improving over obstacles and goes on here in conditions which should suit. If able to continue with that progress, he could be the one to beat, ahead of recent Jersey scorer Little Lotte and the improving mare Water Willow.
