Sent off favourite on bumper debut at Thurles in March but beat just one horse home and he's proven to be disappointing on both starts since. Step back up in trip will help but others preferred.
High Chaparral gelding, cost €25,000 as a yearling. Dam was a full-sister to middle distance winner Black Rock and closely related to Listed winner Maroochydore. Looks like a suitable test on debut and market likely to reveal expectations.
Fastnet Rock colt, cost 25,000 gns as a yearling. Dam was a Group placed 7f winner. Showed very little here on debut when last of eight. Application of a tongue-tie needs to see him in a better light.
Vocalised gelding, half-brother to middle distance winner Spring Focus. Dam also a middle distance winner from a family of Grade 1 winners. One of the more likely types on debut.
War Front colt wasn't beat all that far in a 7f maiden at Dundalk in October, been off the track since and goes up in trip but, given owner/trainer combination, no shock if more is to come.
Oasis Dream gelding, half-brother to French 1m4f Listed winner Harlem. Nice blend of speed and stamina but would appear to be the the stable's second string and off putting he's already been gelded.
Frankel filly, half-sister to Group 3 winner Commemorative and Shoreditch. Dam was a sister to Group 3 winner Visit and half sister to Group 1 winner Promising Lead. Entered at Royal Ascot and likely type on debut.
Slowly away and never a factor on debut at Naas and didn't really improve on second start. Will be of more interest in handicaps.
Forecasts
Europium (9/10), Iron Mountain (2/1), Fioruisce (10/1), Calgath (14/1), Nevsky (14/1), Aldawayfornothing (14/1), Turnabout (20/1), The Lady Tam (50/1)
It may be worth taking a chance on ALDAWAYFORNOTHING on debut as this looks a suitable test on debut and yard are capable of readying one. Fellow debutantes Fioruisce and Europium are taken to give the selection most to do and both have beautiful looking pedigrees.
