Won his maiden at Roscommon last time, justifying favouritism and did that fairly easily but no doubt this will be a whole lot tougher. Holds a Royal Ascot entry and clearly highly thought of but soft ground poses a new question.
Built on debut promise when finishing runner-up at Cork last time. Form of that run has been franked but no doubt he needs to improve again.
Been a shade disappointing having won just once in seven starts but may appreciate the cut in the ground. Yard won this last year but perhaps have stronger claims with Homesman.
Limerick maiden winner who was well beaten behind Irishcorrespondent here last time out but beat the rest of that field easily enough. Step back up in trip will suit and he appears to be the stables first-string with Moore booked. First-time blinkers could eek out improvement and this trainer/jockey combination won this last year.
Overhauled an odds-on favourite at Gowran Park last time in a muddling affair and no doubt needs improvement if he's to figure here. Softer ground is a question mark and may struggle.
Improved for a gelding operation at Cork when finishing sixth of 18 and confirmed that promise with a maiden win at Navan last time. Clearly progressive and could be more to come.
Impressive winner here on second start but disappointed on a subsequent start when odds-on at Tipperary and showed very little at Chantilly at the end of last year. Moore prefers Homesman.
Impressive winner on debut but didn't really improve for her second start when beaten at odds-on at Killarney. A little light on experience compared to most of these and while there should be more to come, she's in deep here.
Listed winner at Navan two starts back but a little disappointing at York last time. No doubt she is better than that and she won her maiden here with cut in the ground. Better expected.
Forecasts
Red Label (2/1), Homesman (5/1), Act Of Valour (13/2), Vociferous Marina (13/2), Finn McCool (8/1), Born To Play (9/1), Utah (16/1), Angel Island (16/1), Twin Star (22/1)
Aidan O'Brien and Ryan Moore can land back back-to-back renewals of this contest with HOMESMAN who probably bumped into a classy rival last time here. Act of Valour needs to improve but was impressive last time while Vociferous Marina is better than she showed at York last time.
- Homesman
- Act Of Valour
- Vociferous Marina
