Holy Roman Emperor colt, half-brother to four winners but all over further than this and he's likely to want a step up in trip.
Big Bad Bob gelding, cost 34,000 gns as a yearling. Half-brother to several winners and produced a fine debut effort at Navan last month. Should improve for that run and no surprise to see him thereabouts once again.

Holy Roman Emperor colt, cost €65,000 as a yearling. Excellent fourth of 16 on debut and trainer has been in flying form so far this season.

Vocalised colt, cost €17,000 as a yearling and a full-brother to Sweet Sounds. Showed very little on debut and similar story at Leopardstown last time out. Will probably do better over a little further in handicaps.

Galileo colt, full-brother to Group 1 placed Mars, Group 3 winner Wonderfully, Listed win Cuff and Toscanelli. Half-brother to Group 1 winner Nayarra and dam was a Listed winner. Could hardly have a more attractive pedigree and this trainer/jockey combination won this in 2015. Every chance he'll be too good for his rivals.

Arakan gelding, cost €5,000. Dam was closely related to two-time Group 1 winner Soldier Hollow. Not disgraced on debut here earlier in the month and should build on that now but yard haven't had a winner for over a year.

Showed pace early on Naas debut before getting tired in the closing stages but disappointing at Navan on second start. Minor improvement last time at Leopardstown but will be of more interest over further in handicaps.

Kodiac colt, cost €220,000 as a yearling. Related to several winners but all over plenty further than this. Not dismissed if there's market support.

Galileo colt, dam was a Group 3 winning sprinter and a half sister to Group 1 winner The United States and Group 3 winner/stablemate Hydrangea. Plenty of speed in his pedigree and yard have a good record in this. Second string on jockey bookings but not dismissed.

Forecasts

Brick By Brick (2/1), Commander Grigio (10/3), Gustav Klimt (7/2), Somerset Maugham (15/2), Port Lions (10/1), Bachelor (11/1), Moltoir (16/1), Simmonscourt (16/1), Itschessnotchekers (33/1), Footstepsintime (100/1)

Verdict

Aidan O'Brien is likely to hold the key to this and GUSTAV KLIMT has an outstanding pedigree and gets the vote of stable jockey Ryan Moore. Somerset Maugham looks to be the stable second string but he should be well suited to a test of speed. Commander Grigio has the benefit of racecourse experience and made a promising debut.
  1. Gustav Klimt
  2. Somerset Maugham
  3. Commander Grigio
