£42,000 half-brother to a 5f winner in Italy, has experience of this C&D but was disappointing on debut and comes here with a little to prove. The firmer ground may help and his yard won this last year but others offer a tad more intrigue.

Last on debut over C&D and already has something to find with Bodybuilder. Makes limited appeal at this stage.

Bred to be effective over further but still ran a blinder over C&D on debut. Easily holds a couple of these on a literal reading of that effort and will be a force to be reckoned with if he takes a natural step forward this evening.
Yard does well with its limited resources and often finds a juvenile that delivers above expectations. Worth a check in the betting.
Appeals on pedigree as a likely type for a race like this and, with his yard in fair form, he certainly appeals as one to bear in mind.

Cost 100,000 gns as a yearling and represents a powerful owner. Bred to appreciate the trip and will no doubt be frustrating for his connections if he isn't on the premises at the business end.
Encouraging pedigree for sprint distances and, given that his yard is flying just now, he has to be of interest.

Forecasts

Gotti (7/4), Joegogo (5/2), Mokaatil (5/1), Bodybuilder (5/1), Nine Below Zero (7/1), Midsummer Knight (12/1), Cabanon Bay (33/1), Lord Del Boy (33/1)

Verdict

Joegogo sets the standard from those with experience and will be hard to keep out of the frame if he can take another stride forward. However, MOKAATIL looks the part on paper and can strike a blow for his yard now they are starting to wind things up a few notches. Gotti heads the list as potentially the best of the rest, while Midsummer Knight and Nine Below Zero are others that appeal on breeding for future reference. Lord Del Boy is also likely to be kept busy if he shows signs of ability, so is another worth a check in the betting.

  3. Joegogo
