Off the mark at the first time of asking over 5f at Ascot (good-to-firm) earlier this month. Has plenty of speed in his pedigree and represents a yard with a 33% strike-rate in recent weeks (12/36).

Successful over an extended 6f at the first time of asking at Leopardstown (good-to-firm) earlier this month. Had Sioux Nation back in second on that occasion and interesting to see how he fares dropping slightly in trip today.

Sent off odds-on favourite but could finish only third when making his debut over 5f at Dundalk last month. Likely to be playing a minor role in this.

Progressing with each run and followed up a second at Leopardstown (good-to-firm) behind Brother Bear by winning over 6f at Cork (good) earlier this month. Likely to run well once more.

Ran respectably in two outings so far including when third over C&D on good ground last time out. Appears to be the stables second string here.

Age: 2|  Weight: 9-3| J: Colin Keane| T: G M Lyons| BF
7/1
Ran well when finishing third of 16 over 6f on good going here earlier this month. Steps up markedly in grade but an interesting runner for a yard who have won this in the past.

Forecasts

Brother Bear (2/1), Aqabah (3/1), Sioux Nation (9/2), Would Be King (7/1), Gold Town (10/1), Mount Wellington (10/1), U S Navy Flag (14/1)

Verdict

BROTHER BEAR made an impressive start to his career when winning over an extended 6f at Leopardstown earlier this month and the son of Kodiac can record a second victory in as many starts by seeing off Ascot winner Aqabah in this Listed event for juveniles.. Sioux Nation, runner-up to the selection in that Leoparsdtown contest can claim third for a yard who do well in this contest.
  1. Brother Bear
  2. Aqabah
  3. Sioux Nation
